Nestled inside the gated Pine Mountain Lake community in Groveland, The Gate House offers a rare combination of convenience and tranquility. This home is the very first residence just inside the community entrance, making check-in and arrivals effortless while still being surrounded by towering pines and frequent visits from friendly deer.
With Yosemite National Park’s Highway 120 entrance only 25 miles away, this home is an ideal base for exploring the park while enjoying a quiet mountain retreat at the end of the day.
Spacious & Comfortable Living
The home offers approximately 1,300 sq ft of comfortable living space, with the main living areas located upstairs. Beautiful wood flooring runs throughout, and the open living room is perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking, enjoying movie nights, or simply unwinding with a good book.
Comfortable Sleeping for Families & Groups
This home is thoughtfully designed to accommodate families, couples traveling together, or small groups, offering comfort and privacy for all.
Primary Bedroom: Queen bed plus twin bunk beds, walk-in closet, and private ensuite bathroom
Guest Bedroom: Queen bed plus twin bunk beds, with easy access to a second full bathroom

The kitchen is well stocked for easy meal preparation, whether you’re cooking breakfast before a Yosemite day trip or enjoying a relaxed dinner at home. Amenities include:
- Microwave, blender, rice cooker, sandwich maker

- Coffee maker, teapot, cookware, and utensils

This is a nice home close to the entrance gate at PML. The home was clean and well
Laid out. My only complaint is not about the home or the owner. There are two lanes to enter PML, one with key cards and the other visitors, even if the visitor has a placard showing they have already checked in with the security guard. The line for the visitor entry can get very long and it can take 20, 30 minutes waiting to get back into PML to the home you rented even though you already have a visitor placard. The line is there most every afternoon and evening.

Family of 4 stayed here mostly to tour Yosemite. The Yosemite entrance is bout 30 miles away, but this made for a perfect base camp and easy day trips. The home was clean the communication with the host & check was great. Pine Mountain community was nice - we did spend one afternoon at the beach at Pine Lake. No issues with being a rental at the gated community. The town of Groveland also had several resurants and a good grocery store just minutes away.

We loved our stay the house it self was in an amazing location. We enjoyed the lake and overall feel of the location. The house it self was a little dated and dingy but nothing that would make me not come back in the future. We saw a young buck a few time during our stay. Bed were not super comfy but it’s better than camping lol

House location was nice. Home could use some updating. Cleaning before the guests arrive would be a good idea. Spray for spiders too. Add a toaster to list of kitchen items to purchase.
