Fly Fishing for Trout on the Elk River is just a few minutes away!!! The creek on the property flows into the Big Spring Fork which forms the Elk River.
2 miles to Snowshoe's Entrance at the base and Golf Course.. Beautiful Log Home on 9 acres for rent by owner. Creek with Waterfall on property. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Private HOT TUB!
Very easy to get to unlike some homes in the area.
Recommended to sleep 6 adults and 2-4 kids on full bunk beds and day bed(more than 8 total will forfeit your booking) . 50-inch Flat Screen TV with Amazon Fire Stick with Home Theater System. Speaker system for playing your favorite tunes.. Large Lodge Style Fireplace. Wrap around decks and covered porch. Very private and cozy. For those that just can't get away, we have WIFI....Highspeed Fiber
No check in is required because their is a key lock box and you park right outside. Linens are included in all rentals.

Attractions/Activities are Golf, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Fly Fishing. Kayaking, NRAO, Cass Scenic Railroad, Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, Blackwater Falls and of course Snowshoe! Seneca Rocks and Blackwater Falls are a good drive but worth it.
Easy to access but 4-Wheel Drive or Snow Chains are HIGHLY recommended during the winter in case of a big snowstorm.. Short 10-15 minute drive to the slopes.
10% Discount off of Ski and Snowboard Rentals at the Ski Barn just 2 miles away when you book.
I can direct on how you can buy tickets and get up to 50% off of Lift Ticket window rate after you book. New snow making fan guns installed will make this winter awesome!

This place was amazing. I loved the porch and being able to hear the waterfall. Looking out the big window/slider at the mountains was great. I think it would be better if they did fix the door so it would open though. We only slept in the bottom queen. It was very comfortable. Our Havanese dog Darby enjoyed the cabin too. We placed his bed in front of the fireplace and he took all his snoozes there. We enjoyed the cass scenic railroad (34 min away), New river gorge bridge walk (2 hours away), blackwater falls (2 hours away), and some of the other hiking was 45-60 minutes away. We went in July so it wasn’t very busy which was great given the off season of skiing and snowboarding. Kitchen was stocked nicely. There was a coffee maker and a keurig k cup machine. The place was clean and bathrooms nice. I’m not sure cars would make it very well up the driveway but our RAV4 did wonderful. We were very happy and wish we would have gotten to use the hot tub but with the rain, didn’t want to off balance chemicals; or get our heads rained on. I bet this place is gorgeous in the fall.

Wonderful location. The cabin was immaculate warm and inviting. So cozy and well maintained. We brought our meals and the kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials. The view from the deck was amazing and the night sky on the clear nights absolutely breathtaking. Short drive to Green Bank and the Cass Railroad. We had a wonderful relaxing vacation in the peaceful hills of West Virginia. The owner Jim quickly responded to our emails and the one phone call. So important to us. Thank you for this special retreat. We recommend this location and we hopefully will return next spring.

The home was very neat, clean and welcoming. The hot tub was very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped and we were able to cook all of our meals there. We had a nice time and we plan to return.
