• HOW DO WE GET THERE FROM CANCUN AIRPORT? Playa is a 45-minute drive south of the airport. We provide a private van service for $185 round trip, max 8 people, child seats available. Other options: Taxi $70 one-way, Rental car, Hourly Express bus.
• WHERE IS THE PROPERTY? EL FARO is located in the heart of Playa’s main tourist district at Calle 10 and the beach, 1 block from Fifth Avenue. Fifth Avenue is a world famous, 50+-block pedestrian promenade with relaxed cafes and gourmet restaurants, exclusive lounges, and al fresco bars, intriguing boutiques and local purveyors of all types and variety.
• IS EL FARO TRULY BEACHFRONT? Yes and you can't get any closer than in this condo! All the condos that we represent in El Faro have stunning ocean views.
• DO WE NEED A CAR? Not necessarily because Playa is pedestrian friendly and we are close to everything. We typically walk or cab around town and rent a car on an as needed basis for regional excursions. There are several car rental agencies within a few blocks. We do have onsite parking for $15 a day and must be paid for in advance.
• WHERE DO WE GROCERY SHOP? We have several small markets within one block and several full service grocery stores within 7 blocks. Also a grocery delivery service for your convenience.
• DO YOU HAVE TV AND INTERNET SERVICE? We have cable TV and Internet.

We stayed over New Year and it was outstanding all the way around. Condo was great, staff were great, the ocean was great. We needed water for the dispenser and it was there in minutes. Walked to Wal-mart for food, drinks, and necessities, it was a 7 minute walk. Dive shops right at the property and they picked us up in front of the property. Water was beautiful and the city staff worked to keep the beach clean each day. 3 minutes to 5th Avenue and everything we needed for restaurants. Host was on top of everything and was very responsive.

Really enjoyed our stay. The location is the best in Playa Del Carmen. Beautiful ocean views and a great pool. The odor from the seaweed was mildly unpleasant. The condo unit was well appointed although somewhat in need of updating.

Perfect location, gorgeous condo, everything in excellent, working condition. Only problem was seaweed made beach minimally accessible, but of course there’s really nothing the property can do about that. But nicer beach is just a short walk away, so it’s not that big a deal. Would definitely stay here again.

The condo was perfect for the four of us and the location is perfect. We walked everywhere in a 30x40 block area. So many great restaurants and bars that we didn’t really use the kitchen. The beach is pretty messy with the sargassum bloom but not really a bother. The pool was great for cooling off and working on my sun burn er tan. We felt very safe as there is a noticeable police presence. We will definitely come back.
