The villa, located in a protected area, Natura 2000, offers magnificent views of the sea and the mountains. It was built, in local stone, with care in 2024, and has a large private infinity pool, several terraces, an outdoor shower, a barbecue area, a petanque court and a private garden of 3.500 m²

The villa is equipped with a heat pump providing underfloor heating in winter and air conditioning by a liquid cooling system in summer. The villa is also equipped with large frames with mosquito nets and electric shutters. The floors are covered with large tiled floors and the high ceilings are made of wood and beams in the purest Cretan style.

- On the first floor, you will find a large living room with an open fireplace, a large sofa, a dining area, a spacious fully equipped kitchen (oven, hobs, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, electric kettle, coffee machine, toaster, juicer, microwave, ...), two bedrooms each with a 160 cm double bed, a large dressing room and an en-suite bathroom with toilet, sink and walk-in shower. Each bedroom gives direct access to the terrace and the swimming pool with magnificent sea and mountain views of the Rethymno coast.

- A mezzanine, you will find two 90cm single beds and an en-suite bathroom.

On request, we provide a baby cot at no extra charge.

Exterior of the villa:

- The villa is located in a natural area, classified Natura 2000, composed of an exceptional fauna and flora offering many possibilities for walks and discoveries. In the garden, natural areas have been preserved and many trees have been planted: fruit trees, olive trees, palm trees... in order to restore the natural environment and create a typical and colorful Cretan landscape.

- A petanque court and bowling alley await you in the shade of the olive trees.

- In front of the house there is a large relaxation area of more than 250 m²: summer lounge, barbecue and dining area, pool area with sunbeds. The pool is infinity and measures 10 x 4 M, the maximum depth is 170 cm. There is also an outdoor shower and we have installed a large pergola to shelter you from the sun if you wish.

- From the terrace and the pool; the villa offers splendid sea views and all along the coast of Rethymno the sunrises are magical.

Aptera
The ruins of the ancient city of Aptera are located on a hill above Souda Bay. Founded in the 7th century BC, Aptera was one of the largest cities in Crete. It was continuously inhabited until the earthquake that destroyed it in the 7th century AD.
A monastery was built there in the 12th century.
Most of this very large site has not yet been excavated but you can see an impressive Roman cistern, a Greek temple, various other constructions and huge defensive walls. At the northwestern end
