The AMETHYST Apartment is a romantic and welcoming retreat in the heart of Alghero.
Located on the first floor of a historic one-story building in Porta Terra – the iconic square marking the start of the pedestrian area – Amethyst offers both comfort and accessibility: reaching the apartment from the square takes less than a minute on foot, with no need to climb the many stairs typical of old town houses.
Free and paid parking is available around Porta Terra or the Port.
Step outside and you’ll find cobbled lanes, towers, bastions, and charming restaurants, along with artisan workshops. Just a few steps away, you’ll reach the sea and Alghero’s small coves, while the beautiful sandy Lido Beach is only a 15-minute walk away.
Its position at the border between the old and new town offers every convenience within easy reach: supermarket, daily fresh market, pharmacy, grocery stores, and the bus to the airport and places of interest.

We loved staying at this apartment in Alghero old town. The location was amazing and really great for getting to beaches as well. The apartment was exactly what we were looking for in terms of amenities such as aircon, comfy bed and also the added bonus of having a kitchen to cook meals in. Tizana was a great host and made us feel extremely welcome. She provided lots of helpful recommendations and general information to help us with our stay. Would 100% recommend this apartment.

This chic and beautifully decorated loft is excellently located in the old town of Alghero, close to shops, restaurants, tourist information centre, places of historic significance and the beach. We had the best of both worlds because it was easy to walk to many places around town yet when the windows were shut it was very quiet. The place was very clean and comfortable with lots of historic character and a spacious feel. Our hosts Tiziana and Natalia were outstanding! We were met in person at the accommodation, given a tour of the loft, and greeted with a bottle of lovely local wine and sweet biscuits. Tiziana was helpful in so many ways with advice about things to see, places to eat and parking. All our messages were answered promptly in a very friendly, cheerful and competent manner. When we left, Natalia popped in with a lovely souvenir gift and offers of assistance. We would highly recommend this excellent accommodation in such a beautiful part of Sardinia. We would certainly stay there again!

Beautiful apartment in perfect location! It is right in the pedestrian only area of the historic center with quaint alleys lined with authentic restaurants. You do need to be fit enough to walk with your luggage from your car and to lift it upstairs. I highly recommend this apartment! The host is delightful and will help you with whatever you need!!!

From the moment we arrived, our host, Tiziana, made us feel welcome and explained everything we needed to know. Even beforehand communication was above-and-beyond including recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. She even gave us a welcome gift of local Alghero candy and a large bottle of water. The apartment is decorated with such charm and good taste. Tiziana even explained to us the unique history of the furniture. The beds were so comfortable, even the pull-out couch! Two full bathrooms was so convenient for our family of four, as was the washing machine. The location in old town Alghero is so charming, yet it is right on the outskirts which provides easy access to free street parking with a very short walk. During our stay we loved exploring Alghero (ramparts, outdoor dining, shopping, Ferris Wheel) and Stintino/La Pelosa. We would have loved to go to Asinara and explore by e-bike but we accidentally overslept and missed the ferry! Overall, our stay was amazing and we hope to be fortunate enough to make it back here from the U.S. sometime!
