The famous Barter Books, (one of the largest secondhand bookshops in the country, situated in the fascinating old railway station) is just a few minutes walk away and is great for spending a couple of hours reading and enjoying a cup of tea and cake around an open fire. The cottage is located between the Heritage coast and Cheviot hills. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are just a few minutes walk away. The tree house restaurant in Alnwick Gardens is highly recommended (Need to book for evening). Free Wi-Fi is included. Pets not accepted.
