Über diese chalet dieses Ferienunterkunft
The Playa Blanca boardwalk is the heart of this laid-back resort, which now stretches for 8 kilometers of uninterrupted walking. The entire coastline is lined with elegant, low-rise properties characteristic of the island’s charming architecture. Stroll along the coastal path and you’ll find many bars, cafés, and restaurants overlooking the resort’s golden-sand beaches.
The wide bay of Playa Blanca is divided into three smaller bays with sheltered beaches perfect for swimming and sunbathing. The most central is Playa Blanca, with the quieter Playa Flamenco to the west and the large, crescent-shaped Playa Dorada to the east.
Rubicon Marina is a high-end, cosmopolitan complex at the eastern end of the boardwalk, typical of the resort’s relaxed and sophisticated style. This collection of luxury restaurants, vacation souvenir shops, and designer boutiques has been built alongside an elegant marina where luxury yachts are moored. Of course, Playa Blanca still has its bustling harbor where you can take the ferry to the neighboring island of Fuerteventura
The center of Playa Blanca offers a good selection of shops, including several mini-markets and places to buy souvenirs. Or you can head to the elegant Rubicon Marina, where you’ll find a selection of designer boutiques, a supermarket, and even a large swimming pool. It’s an ideal place to pick up designer clothing from one of the small boutiques, and there’s also a craft market twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. At the stalls, you’ll find local items such as jewelry or gifts like pottery to take home. There’s also a large Sunday market in IDegAsp, a 40-minute drive away.
Bars and Restaurants
Along the boardwalk, you’ll find restaurants and cafés offering a wide variety of cuisines. You’ll find German bakeries alongside Italian and Indian restaurants. The elegant Rubicon Marina offers more options and upscale cafés, as well as a French bakery. While the nightlife is low-key, you’ll find bars with live music and mellow jazz in the evenings at the marina and along the central boardwalk, plus a few karaoke bars to keep you entertained.
Beaches Playa Blanca has three golden sandy beaches, each with something a little different. Playa Flamingo is a small, pretty cove west of the harbor. Locals often go there to fish for octopus and barracuda. There’s also a supermarket that sells daily newspapers and essentials for a day at the beach. Heading east along the coast, the next beach is Playa Blanca. This is a small stretch of sand located near the boardwalk, with easy access
