Step inside to discover a beautifully appointed space designed for your comfort. The open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area provide plenty of room to move about. Sink into the cosy seating in the living area while enjoying your favourite shows on the Smart TV. The kitchen and dining area feature a 4-seater dining suite and a well-appointed kitchen complete with modern appliances and essentials.

Experience seamless indoor-outdoor living through the large sliding doors leading to the patio. Here, you'll find an entertainer's delight with an outdoor dining setting, BBQ, and clothesline—all fully enclosed for your peace of mind, perfect for little ones to enjoy.

In the first bedroom, you'll discover a snug queen bed, a wall-mounted TV and ample built-in wardrobes for all your storage needs. Meanwhile, the second bedroom offers two comfortable king single beds and additional built-in wardrobes.

The modern bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower, a relaxing bath for soaking away your worries, and plenty of storage space for your personal belongings.

The Neighborhood

Newnham is a relatively new suburb located north of the Launceston city. Home to the University of Tasmania and the Australian Maritime College, Newnham is a convenient and easy spot for your next getaway.

Launceston City is just a stone's throw away. Here you will find many delicious cafés and restaurants, an array of shops and boutiques, a vast range of cocktail bars and pubs and many amenities and recreational spaces. The City Park is not to be missed, surrounded by beautiful oak tree gardens, you will find unique and fun experiences to enjoy such as train rides, a playground for the children, a plant-filled conservatory, and cheeky snow monkeys.

Whilst in the CBD, make sure to visit the Cataract Gorge. A spectacular natural formation where you can enjoy long and short walks, fresh water swimming basins, the world's longest single-span chairlift and vibrant peacocks! An additional, unique way to experience this attraction is via the Tamar Cruise vessel, which cruises through the waters that carve between the rocky formations.

Newnham is at the doorstep of Lilydale, which is known for its many bushwalks, English style gardens and hiking at Mt Arthur. Lilydale falls is nestled amongst the temperate rainforest. Explore the stunning, local flora and fauna whilst enjoying a short bushwalk that leads to the fresh-flowing waterfall. There are also open grounds here for you to take in your natural surroundings, whilst enjoying a picnic. An additional, more challenging hike is found at Mt Arthur. Mt Arthur slopes over this small town, and provides breathtaking panoramic views of Launceston’s northern regions and hinterland.

Nearby are some of Tasmania’s most renowned wineries including Ridge North Lilydale, Pipers Brook Vineyard, Jansz Tasmania wine room and Delamere Vineyards.

Only a short drive away is the Hollybank Treetops Adventure attraction. Enjoy ziplining through the tall trees, rolling through the forest floor on Segways, tackling a variety of ropes courses, and enjoying extensive mountain bike networks, catered to all skill levels.

A less than 20 minute drive away from Newnham is the Hillwood Berry Farmgate. Here you can visit the cafe for berry ice-cream, jams or fruit wines made from the freshly picked produce. In summer you are invited to pick your own berries and take them home with you, if they have not yet been devoured!

Getting Around

To get the most out of your stay, to be able to explore all that Launceston and its surrounds have to offer, a car is recommended. Additionally, there are many alternative options listed below:

METRO BUS SERVICE: Metro bus service provides transportation throughout Launceston and its surrounding suburbs each day. To access timetables, routes, and prices, please visit the Metro Tasmania Website.

FREE TIGER BUS: The bus travels around the city. There are bus stops located nearby outside Princes Square Park and the Launceston General Hospital. ELECTRIC SCOOTERS: You will find purple electric scooters scattered around Launceston. To access these, please download the App ‘Beam’. Please wear the helmet provided and be safe!

We have a gardener who will attend this property from time to time. It is unlikely that he will attend during your stay, however if he needs to attend the property during your stay, we will notify you.
