Looking for some peace and quiet and to get back to nature? Autumn Ridge sits on a secluded hill with nothing but trees in sight. Your trip starts with a quiet drive through a tunnel of trees to the top of the hill with no neighbors in sight. Plan your own vacation with shopping, antiquing, ziplining, hiking, canoeing on mirror lake, fishing, or even just enjoying the fresh mountain air. You can explore the shopping and restaurants of downtown Highlands which is only 1.5 miles away. Once you come back home you can listen to the leaves rustle overhead while sitting on the deck with a hot coffee or hot chocolate surrounded by the soft movement of the forest. Road to house meanders up the and then down the hill creating a mile long walk or run. Take the dogs off the leash and let them run but don't be surprised to see deer jumping through the brush. Peaceful, beautiful, super comfortable beds, and the whole house was just renovated with guests in mind. House has great internet which sometimes is a rarity in this area! Please feel free to ask any questions.

We enjoyed our stay! The house was very roomy, clean and had lots of extra thoughtful amenities such as plenty of soap, toilet paper, paper towels, k-cups, sweetener, etc. There were plenty of towels, extra cozy blankets, games, laundry and dishwasher supplies, propane tanks for the firepit and grill and more. Even had a electric leaf blower to clean off the porch! The stone fireplace was amazing! The coffee bar was so cute. The drive up was a narrow one way road, but well paved. We never drove it at night, so not sure if it is well lit. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. We used the porch firepit one night, but it was summer and a little buggy as to be expected. This was an amazing find for a good price and a short drive to everything! Great for larger families or just a couple getaway. Owners were very responsive!! We locked ourselves out and they responded within 10 minutes and had us back in the house within another 10!!

We loved our time at Autumn Ridge! It’s a Lovely home nestled in the woods but really close to downtown. Very clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Would definitely stay again!

Autumn Ridge has a lot of potential, but there are numerous things that bothered us as a vacation retreat. We would like to state the hosts are exceptional. The location is exactly as described.Upon our arrival, we immediately noticed the following: Sour smell; broken lamp; electrical outlets with loose, removed, or hanging cover plates; missing doorknobs; dreadfully stained carpet. We took photos and contacted the hosts. They immediately replied they had not visited their property in months and if there were additional issues to let them know. Additional issues: Light bulbs were burned out or not present -no replacement bulbs were available; no hand towels or face cloths in the bathrooms [we purchased some]; no kitchen hand towels or oven mitts [we purchased some]; cobwebs inside lamp shades; patio screen door is off the runner and easily comes off the runner again once replaced; back porch door knob does not function; outdoor grill would not heat above 300 degrees; food and spices in the kitchen cabinets are OLD / Expired and needs to be thrown out [a bottle of syrup was dated 2009!]; the inside of these cabinets need to be cleaned; kitchen cabinet drawers need upgrading...they are literally falling apart; no sharp knives available [we took our own bc of a previous visitor's comment]. Even with the above issues, we would have given this property a higher rating if not for the carpet. It needs to go!!! When resolved, we would definitely visit again.
