The full-size buildings in both museum complexes are based on archaeological findings and give a first-hand impression of the living conditions of the time. The Holländerei district, idyllically and quietly situated not far from the Uecker, is only approx. 4 km from the town of Eggesin with the nature park visitor centre and a beautiful natural harbour and approx. 12 km from the harbour town of Ueckermünde with its fine sandy beach, an old town worth seeing and the zoo.
