Summary:
1920's charm at the shore! Stroll to several beaches, the bay, amazing culinary delights on 2nd St., plus shopping. We love pets! This newly remodeled, bright downstairs unit has AC's, a plus a fully stocked kitchen. It is the perfect, quiet retreat to recharge & relax. Sparkling clean & superbly comfortable, + bunk beds! We will do all we can to make your stay amazing! Bike rentals are available. Top 5% of AirBnb's!
The Space:
Beautiful hardwood floors, comfortable, clean, and spacious. There are two bedrooms - one with a king bed and the second with a twin over full bunk bed. Plus, the living room has a queen sofa bed. This unit has a dining area, a large kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower/tub combo. Enjoy the ocean breezes and bright atmosphere in this downstairs unit, plus a dedicated large desk with super-fast Wi-Fi! Easy back door access to parking, the laundry room, and the bikes. Located in a peaceful area with a large patio with a gas BBQ to use and enjoy the sunsets. If you need a highchair or a pack-n-play, we have them!
Guest Access:
You will have your own unique access code for the private front door so you can access it anytime after 3 pm. There is ample street parking in front and along side of the building. Make note - street sweeping occurs between 9-11 am on Thursdays & Fridays - check the signs.
The Neighborhood:
Quaint and quiet, this is a residential beachy shore neighborhood. We are in a clean, safe, seaside community with many residents out walking and biking. You are steps from vibrant Second Street's shopping and eating district, sandy beaches, calm lagoons, picturesque Naples canals, and bike & walking paths. Located just minutes from downtown Long Beach, CSU Long Beach, the Long Beach Aquarium, the Queen Mary, the LA Harbor, and close to Surf City USA - Huntington Beach. Use this as your home base to access all of Southern California's favorite spots - your options are endless!
If you love water, you can windsurf, swim, kayak, surf, row, paddle board, jet ski, or even ride in an authentic gondola or take a sunset sailing cruise right in this neighborhood!
Getting Around:
You are less than one block to 2nd Street shops and restaurants. Two small blocks to the beach. Less than 3 miles to CSU Long Beach. You can rent our bikes, or rent scooters, take Uber, Lyft, or catch the bus.

*For a more upscale dinner with an incredible view - go to The Queen's View in Shoreline Village
*Romantic - take a romantic gondola ride through Naples canals or the swan boats near Shoreline Village
*A fun brewery close by is Ballast Point or Belmont Shore Brewing- both right on the water
*Best beach for kids - Mother's Beach
*Best Playground to walk to - Livingston Park - 5 minute walk
*Best place for water fun - Alamitos Bay. You can rent anything there
*Nature - El Dorado Park & Nature Center
*Best evening stroll - up & down 2nd street. Most shops and restaurants stay open in the evening, plus have outdoor seating if you bring your pup.

This was our first VRBO rental and the experience was awesome. The house was in a great location near the beach, shopping and restaurants.The host was very communicative and provided all the needed information and items in the house. Thank you for a wonderful stay and making us feel at home!

Cute little place. Walking distance to all the cute shops on 2nd street. Glad to find somewhere with bunk beds so my kids could share a room but didn't have to share a bed.

We had such a wonderful stay. Nice condo , clean cute decor. Super easy to talk to host. They were nice and attentive. They had stuff for the beach if you wanted to go. Easy to walk to 2nd street. We went multiple times a day. Already pre planning next years trip. Would stay here again for sure.

The location is really great and we wanted to be close to the shops and restaurants on 2nd and within a short drive to different beach areas. That was great! The size of the space itself is also great, with very minimal street noise.Unfortunately, there were a few less idea issues we ran into. There's only one wall A/C unit in the living room and the air does not easily make it into the two bedrooms. The first night we slept there it was close to 80 degrees in both bedrooms and we all slept very badly. The host graciously brought us a number of fans the next day, which helped cool down the rooms a bit in the daytime (though not easy to use at night unless we all slept with bedroom doors open--not really possible if you're traveling with kids who sleep early). The people upstairs were very loud with stomping and running late and night and early in the morning (about 7am). That was probably the worst part--very annoying! In addition, the two bedrooms face a corridor with a very bright light that people kept turning on all night. The windows have no curtains, just plastic shutters, and the light came in very bright all night long. The hosts were very easy to reach and did their best to accommodate us. But when it comes down to it, I'd not stay again simply due to the heat in the space, the noise upstairs, and the bright lights coming in. These things won't bother everyone, but just consider before booking.
