Visit England 4 Star.. Just a short, level walk from the tourist hotspot of Bowness, Kim’s Retreat is the ideal venue for a centrally based Lakeland holiday for the smaller party. Surrounded by an eclectic mix of restaurants, award wining country pubs and an equally good choice of shopping, it’s easy to see why Bowness proves so popular. But for more traditional activities, why not take a trip on the famous steamers down to Lakeside, hire a rowing boat and paddle yourself around the many islands on Windermere or better still, enjoy a ride on the open top bus that regularly tours the area.

It’s a lovely place to stay warm and cosy and well equipped. We will definitely be returning. Only a couple of things would actually make it perfect - larger bath towels would be lovely provide a couple of cosy dressing gowns and a coffee machine something like a nespresso then it would be perfect but can thoroughly recommend Kim’s Retreat
