Overall, we had a great trip to Corolla and our experience with this property was excellent. Pre-trip information was timely and helpful, and the house was clean and ready when we arrived.The house worked great for our group of 16. The king beds with attached bathrooms were perfect for the adults, and the bunk room and twin room on the first floor were ideal for the kids. The top floor had plenty of space for everyone to gather between the kitchen and family room. The pool was a nice option for younger kids needing a break from the beach.A few practical notes: the beach is a short walk, but there's a steep staircase over the dune — we gave up hauling a wagon after the first trip, and it was tough for older relatives. Beach companies set up early, so get down there if you want a good spot. The carport is great for dropping beach gear, but you'll need to walk around back to rinse off at the hose. The multiple refrigerators and ice machine were a huge plus for keeping drinks cold and stocking the cooler. The house is a short drive to shopping and restaurants — just allow extra time if heading to Duck or Nags Head for dinner.Overall, a fantastic house that we'd rent again.

The home was very clean and perfect for our long weekend with 5 families! Everyone had their own space and bathroom which was a huge plus. The outdoor space was amazing. We had a great time! The rental company was responsive and quick with anything we needed!

Beautiful home… lots of steps.. so it helped burn some of the calories from lots of snacking during bad weather days. Accurate depiction of the steps to the beach, and you could actually see the water from the kitchen and top deck. Comfortable beds and lots of places to entertain while weather is not ideal… which was most of our week. Very responsive when contacted about various items… and friendly.

We had another great OBX vacation! We are return renters of Sanzibar (we rented when it was Lee's Breeze). Love the location of the house to the beach access, and local attractions. the housing addition is fantastic as well, always so well maintained! The only complaint we had was the mattress in the bedroom that has the hot tub on the deck. This mattress is horrible! We remembered it from our last visit but were hopeful it would be changed with new owners. PLEASE replace this mattress!! Not only is it uncomfortable, but is also very noisy. One suggestion is to list on the amenities that the kitchen waste baskets require 30 gallon bags-- for those who prepare and bring that sort of thing with them. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and enjoyed the delicious cookies that were delivered from the owners. :)
