Summary:
Renovated 3 bd flat with soaring ceilings and wood floors throughout. Updated open kitchen and living room create a comfortable place for all guests to relax in. All beds have spa quality sheets. The walls are adorned with local art, and outside is the shared courtyard oasis, boasting outdoor dining and lounge chairs. Great place to enjoy a cocktail before exploring the city for an evening. Come enjoy this urban inner city oasis!
The Space:
The house is a 4 plex, two long term tenants downstairs and two short term rentals upstairs. This unit is upstairs and the house as its own private entrance. There are 3 bedrooms that are shot-gunned. Shot-gunned is a distinctly New Orleans style of house that means you need to walk through each bedroom to get to the next, each room does have closing doors between. The living room and kitchen are open concept and the kitchen has been fully renovated if you to cook meals at home. There is a full fridge to hold all yummy leftovers you pick up while exploring the city.
The Neighborhood:
This home is located in the historic 7th Ward / New Marigny neighborhood. It is in the inner-city and a very urban setting. This diverse and vibrant neighborhood has lots of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. Close proximity to the French Quarter and the Marigny. There you will find tons of great restaurants, bars, music venues and more. That being said, the area is a transitional neighborhood with quite a few homes in the neighborhood that still have not been renovated.
Getting Around:
Very quick Uber/Lyft ride to the French Quarter. You can catch the St. Claude street car line 5 blocks away at the corner of Elysian Fields and St. Claude. Lots of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. If you have a vehicle and street park please do not block any neighbors driveways.
Other Things to Note:
This home does contain a decibel monitoring device. The device is located in a common area and not in any bedroom or bathroom.

This is a beautiful place with comfortable beds, nice linens, 4 comfortable pillows per queen bed, a nightstand with lamp by every bed, and plenty of towels & washcloths. It has lovely hardwood floors, high ceilings, & local art, & it has been appropriately updated while mantinaing its original charm. We experienced excellent communication with the hosts before & during our visit, both by messaging & by phone. The gated parking was a huge benefit, & the one gated parking "space" (area) easily accomodated our 2 vehicles (a 4-door Tacoma with a 6' bed & a Rogue). No other unit has access to the gated parking, so there's no fear of getting blocked in. The courtyard is also in the gated area, so it felt very safe to hang out there at night, in small numbers, etc. All but one BR are very spacious, & the smaller BR is narrow but long, so it's still plenty big for luggage, etc. The bathroom is huge with a large tub (with shampoo, conditioner, & body wash). The kitchen is nice and is stocked with everything we needed, including a coffee maker (with coffee, filters, & sugar), a toaster, hand soap, dish soap, a sponge, & trash bags. The location is very convenient. We walked to the French quarter daily, & we walked home after dark (in groups of 3 or 4). We were prepared to use Uber or Lyft, but we ended up only walking. I never heard any neighbors, despite the home being divided into 4 units. It suited our group of 6 family and friends (ages 20 to 53) beautifully. Highly recommended!

Was absolutely beautiful and clean. The trolley was a short walk to get to which was very convenient.. The neighbors were very friendly and one helped with ideas for great restaurants and where to go.. The owners responded quickly to early check in and got us in early!! We look forward to renting from them again in the future!!
