It was so cozy and homey! Hosts were wonderful and helpful! It was super easy going into DC by driving to the nearby metro station. Would definitely book again!

This is a very beautifully decorated and exceptionally comfortable room. The private outdoor garden was also lovely. VERY quiet! There is no breakfast, though. I had asked for a spoon to be provided for the granola I brought and there weren't any, so communication wasn't perfect. It is still an exceptional place, even if you have to eat with a plastic fork!.

Great spot for a two night stay. Super convenient location for our purposes. Safe neighborhood. This room is great but is part of a larger house so expect to hear some host noise like talking, cooking or dogs. The room itself and the outdoor sitting area were great! The shower was great with hot water and shampoo and conditioner provided. Bed was super comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

We found the "tranquil" Sugarland retreat to be centrally located and convenient for the places we were visiting. The property is not as the description states, unfortunately. The garden and fire pit area are not available to renters, it was fenced off and not usable, also the patio area was not clean or usable. These were two key points of why we chose to stay at this location. The main portion of the house was being renovated, which did not affect our room, but it did affect the overall quality of the stay. The apartment is air conditioned, but renters do not get to control the temperature. It is controlled by the homeowner and is quite inconvenient to ask for a temperature change every time one is needed. It was quite hot while we were there, so I had to ask for changes several times. We met the homeowner the day we arrived; he was kind and pleasant. Overall, the space inside was clean and comfortable but we were quite disappointed that the property amenities, as described, were not available.
