Backed by sub-tropical vegetation which adds a lushness to the landscape, the white sandy beach and turquoise waters of Carbis Bay make it one of Cornwall’s most sought-after and attractive holiday destinations. Here, days are spent lazing on the beach, walking the coast path, or exploring the delights of neighbouring St Ives.
A short walk from the beach and train station, the recently refurbished Secret Seascape is a superb base for your Carbis Bay getaway. Elegantly styled and furnished, this home is also well-equipped, so you’ll have all you need to enjoy a relaxing and comfortable stay. The space is made up of a gorgeous lounge/diner with high ceilings and a bay window, a fabulous galley kitchen, two tasteful bedrooms including a master en-suite, and a second family bathroom with walk-in shower.
Outside, there’s a shared courtyard garden with a bistro table and chairs which is a lovely spot for relaxation especially in the morning and just after sunset. A large communal sea-facing garden with superb sea views, invites you to relax and take in the scenery. If you’d like to head to the beach, a gate from the garden gives access to a footpath which leads a short walk down to the shore, so you won’t need to drive or look for parking during your visit.
Carbis Bay’s calm, clear waters are a dream for anyone who enjoys water sports. Between Easter and October half term, the beach-based Ocean Sports Centre offers equipment hire and lessons so visitors can kayak, paddleboard and swim to their heart’s content. For a spoil, the Carbis Bay Hotel which is just down the road from the apartment, offers a range of spa facilities including treatments and pools and if you fancy eating out there are many wonderful restaurants nearby to choose from including Deli & Deli, The Hungry Gannet, and Walter’s On The Beach. If you’d like to explore the beaches, shopping and atmosphere of St Ives you can easily walk to Carbis Bay’s small train station which is about 5 minutes away. It’s a 3-minute train journey to St Ives and the journey showcases some of the most spectacular coastal views along the way.

Beautifully decorated and well-appointed cottage all on the second floor! While there was no view from inside, it lured us outside to the stunning gardens with sweeping views of Carbis Bay. We had breakfast and evening snacks at the garden table, meeting some lovely fellow travelers. Even with the record heatwave, the cottage got plenty cool at night with windows designed for a cross breeze. The beautiful tea kettle and toaster, the efficient hob, the sweet placemats and dining area all made for memorable family meals. We really appreciated the thoughtful milk, clotted cream and scones. We purchased pods from Super Tesco for the Nespresso machine. Firm but cosy enough beds with outlets nearby, a variety of pillows, plus good water pressure in the showers, full-length mirrors, ample hooks, hangers, and an iron made getting ready for the wedding we attended easy. We had a slight learning curve with outlets all having their own on/off rocker switches, the front door handle needing to be twisted up before locking, and the washing machine needing some instructions to figure out, but the property manager was quick to respond to these issues and got us squared away. Wonderful memories and trip of a lifetime!

Property is in excellent location with easy access to carbis bay hotel & train station. Beach is also just a stone throw away. I really enjoyed the stay. Also parking was a bonus right next to property. I would stay in this property again but would consider sea view apartments.

Loved our 3 days at Secret seascapes. It was very comfortable in a compact way! Location was excellent, walking distance from train station, Carbis Bay Estate and Hotel. Also nearby the Costcutter and Pub. Overall can’t go wrong .
