Lake Natalie, Big Bass Lake, and Larsen Lake are all located entirely within the Big Bass Lake Community. Recreation Centers with an arcade, game room and sauna. There are both indoor and outdoor pools and a bathhouse as well as swimming beaches on the lakes. Indoor pool opens after Labor day and closes on Memorial day weekend. Fall through winter. In the event of extreme weather outside they usually open up the indoor pool in summer.
There is a marina and boat rentals, but only electric motors or boat without motors are allowed. Kayak, canoes, and sailboats are a great way to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the beautiful mountain waters.
Big Bass Lake has ice skating at the ice rink area when Lake freezes over, and downhill ski and snow tubing at the resort’s private hill area. must bring own ice skates.
*Big Bass Lake sends out a weekly community newsletter with special events and activities every week. Also, Passing the Thyme restaurant at the BBLCA Clubhouse. Salty the Food truck at Big Bass Lake Beach.*

Joanna’s thoughtfulness was evident throughout the house, with many items supplied for our use. The house was VERY comfortable. The highlight was the playroom, which was phenomenal!! The kids never turned on any of the numerous TVs, but enjoyed hours in the playroom room. We enjoyed the hot tub, and the fire pit was great, especially with the s'mores (Joanna left a complete s’mores kit for our use, and a bottle of wine for the adults). The setting in the woods is so beautiful, with deer practically coming up to the front door. The Great Bass Lake Community Association keeps the community spotless and the outdoor swimming pool was very clean (on a crowded weekend bring your own lawn chairs to the pool). The Larsen Lake was also very enjoyable and almost deserted on the days we spent there. Our only complaint was with The Big Bass Lake Community Association which has blocked off some streets and you need an owners pass in order to enter. As a result in order to get to the swimming pool it is a 16-20 minute ride since you have to drive completely around the entire community and can’t go strait through. Coming back you can do it in a straight line since the gate opens automatically when you leave (it doesn’t require showing a pass to exit). Since you go straight across when returning, the return trip takes less than 5 minutes. We truly enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend the house.

The host is very responsive and helpful. The house is in a good location that is close to gas station and groceries. There are free coffee and games to entertain ourselves. The place is spacious and it’s nice to have a TV in every room :)

We had a fantastic stay! The property was exceptionally clean, and it was clear the owners take great pride in maintaining it. They were incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions we had before and during our trip. Everything was smooth from check-in to check-out, and we truly had a blast. Would definitely stay here again!

We had an unforgettable stay! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The kids were completely entertained by all the games—so much so that the TV stayed off the whole trip. The layout of the home encourages everyone to stay connected and engaged, making it an ideal spot for meaningful family bonding. Our hostess went above and beyond with a thoughtful surprise that delighted both the kids and the adults. We’d come back in a heartbeat for peace, fun, and a chance to relax in the beauty of the woods.
