OCEAN VILLA MINT is a beautiful cottage that I just had renovated in 2023 so that I, who lead a busy life in Tokyo, could carve out some “off” time!

It’s a rare location where you can watch the sun rise over the horizon right from your room.

The vacation rental is located up a gentle hill, just a 3-minute walk from the ocean.

It’s just a 7-minute walk from Chitose Station on the JR Uchibo Line, making it incredibly accessible! Even if you don’t have a car or don’t drive, you can easily visit.

Before the property opened, I used to spend peaceful weekends here, gazing at the Pacific Ocean’s horizon from this room, listening to the sound of the waves and the tide, and immersing myself in the best location Minami-Boso has to offer.

As I spent time each weekend enjoying my own personal time off, I found myself increasingly wanting others—people who are usually busy and long to reclaim “time for themselves”—to experience this view and sense of healing as well. That’s why I finally decided to open this as a vacation rental.

It’s close to the station, and the ocean is just a 3-minute walk from the cottage, so you can head out to enjoy it right away!

The water is incredibly clear and crystal-clear, and it’s a special spot where you can occasionally encounter sea turtles!
