The cabin is a sweet space to unplug and reconnect with those you love. Originally built in 1790 this cabin was once the beloved home of James Rankin a revolutionary war veteran. Set up like a studio apartment, you have a kitchenette and open floor space concept. It’s located on 5 acre shared lot with creek access and fire pit. Here at the cabin you get the best of both worlds a COUNTRY-LIKE retreat but are also conveniently close to town. Just a 5 minute drive to the nearest grocery and shopping center and only 20 minute from downtown Nashville. Explore all the local music, shopping and festivals or come here to unplug and unwind. Charming, comfortable, historic cabin with close access to stream on property. Home sits close to busy road, so be prepared for road noise.

The cabin was very clean and efficient. We enjoyed the outdoor space using the provided chairs to sit by the stream. I’m an artist so I took the opportunity to create a painting of the outdoor setting. We loved the historic qualities of the cabin as well. Very easy check-in and entrance. The only negative I would mention is that it’s time to replace the double mattress on the bed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in the area for the Hendersonville Arts Festival and it was a great little place for us to lay down at night and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the property. Will definitely stay again! Amanda is a great host!

Bed was broken, there was a 1/2 inch gap at the bottom of the outside doors. Heating was poor. No insulation in the walls. Truly a cabin. I would not recommend staying here in the extreme colder or hotter months. That said it was adorably decorated.
