GOOD TO KNOW:
The “Le Perchoir du Vercors” tiny house is completely self-sufficient: electricity is generated by solar panels, the kitchen and heating run on gas, and water is stored in a tank. You’ll have all the usual comforts, but the idea behind alternative living is also to become more mindful of your consumption!
As a result, a few rules apply:
1) To conserve energy, please do not plug in any electrical appliances other than cell phones and laptops
2) Please do not change the stove settings (except for the temperature)
3) It is strictly prohibited to change the settings on the water heater in the bathroom
4) Since the tiny house is equipped with a phytopurification system (a natural process for filtering wastewater using various semi-aquatic plants), you are asked to use only the 100% natural products provided for your stay (including the soap and dish soap, labeled “Nature et Progrès”).
Pets are not allowed (sorry to your four-legged—or fewer-legged—friends)
At Homnest, we immerse you in a world of extraordinary adventures, bringing you closer to local communities & their residents. Our concept? We build stunning eco-lodges. Then, we set them up for free at the homes of friendly hosts who want to welcome travelers, right in the heart of their passions and local attractions. Our goal is to set up 1,000 lodges with 1,000 fantastic hosts all over the world (including Antarctica). Welcome to the Vercors, at Lionel and Myriam’s place!
