The apartment is located right in the heart of the city and is just a few steps from the entrance to the ruins of ancient Herculaneum, a marvelous archaeological site and UNESCO World Heritage Site that offers an incredible glimpse into life on the Vesuvian coast 2,000 years ago, dramatically frozen in a historical snapshot by the catastrophic eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, which buried the port town for about 18 centuries until it was rediscovered in the mid-1700s.
In addition to its proximity to the Herculaneum excavations, the apartment offers the convenience of reaching downtown Naples in 15 minutes—via road connections for those traveling by car, or via the Circumvesuviana Railway for those who prefer public transportation— in 20 minutes to Pompeii, and in 40 minutes to Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. The Ferrovie dello Stato train station is also a short distance away, making it convenient to reach Salerno in just over half an hour. At the small marina of Villa Favorita, less than a kilometer away, there is a daily ferry to Capri.
It is located on the first floor of a beautiful 18th-century historic building in Herculaneum called “Il Palazzotto.”
