Fantastic vacation home in a medieval village in the Lucca hills, Tuscany. It features a private pool and stunning views across the valley. The house offers complete privacy—nothing to share with anyone else; it’s all yours. Pisa, Lucca, Florence, and Siena are all within driving distance, as are the coast and Cinque Terre. The house is located in the Apuan Alps, offering excellent hiking opportunities—it’s a perfect blend of nature and culture. “Brama Sole” was built in several phases. The oldest part dates back to around 1650 (the house next door bears the year 1638). The house used to be a small farm; the first floor housed stables for a few goats, while the upper floor served as living quarters. From the 1960s onward, the house was no longer inhabited and was used solely for storage. In 2007, it came up for sale, and the current owner purchased it. The house is perfectly situated on a hill, offering spectacular views from the garden and all the rooms. The garden is bathed in sunlight all day long. The house offers great privacy; it’s the last house in the village. The house right next door belongs to the same owner and is currently unoccupied. It’s set slightly back from the road, so you can’t hear any traffic. Parking is free at the entrance to the village; from there, it’s a 50-meter walk to the house. There are some stairs, so the house is not suitable for wheelchairs or people who have difficulty walking.

Since the house is very wide and all the rooms are next to each other, there was no room for internal stairs. There are external stairs on both sides of the house. Using those stairs, you’ll reach the bathroom and bedrooms. Two bedrooms have direct access to the bathroom. The third bedroom has its own entrance, but no direct access to the bathroom.

The interior is stylish and modern. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, including a dishwasher, oven, gas stove, microwave, and freezer. The bathroom features double sinks, a bathtub, and a separate shower. Two bedrooms have single beds that can be pushed together; the third bedroom has a large double bed. The living room has a TV with a DVD player (no cable TV or satellite!). The house also has central heating and a washing machine.

The garden measures about 400 m² and boasts fantastic views of the valley, villages, and other mountains in the distance. The private pool measures 7.5 x 3.6 meters and is 1.3 meters deep. Surrounding the pool is a wooden deck with sun loungers where you can soak up the sun. The large walnut tree provides some shade on very hot days. Another place to find shade is the lounge area, where you’ll also find the BBQ.
