CENTRAL-AIR-CONDITIONING. Lovely coastal Maine cottage-style home in Cape Elizabeth with a bright and open floor plan. Our home is located in a peaceful family residential neighborhood and abuts to several acres of wooded greenbelt trails. We are near the Spurwink Marsh and River, home of the Rachel Carson wildlife preserve and we are just a mere 2.5 to 6 miles to some of the finest beaches in Maine. The vibrant small city of Portland is 6 miles from our home. Come and enjoy her many restaurants, micro brews and sights!
Our home is a cottage-style Maine home and has 4 plus one bedrooms: The master suite has a king size bed with private full bath. Bedroom #2 has a queen memory bed (comfy!) along with a sitting couch. Bedroom #3 has a queen size bed with sitting chair. Bedroom #4 has a beautiful adjustable base California King bed with a sitting chair. The plus #5 bedroom is what we call the boat room. This is the 700 sq. foot bonus room. It has two beautifully crafted full sized boat beds, big screen TV, toys and plenty of sitting chairs. The walls are lined with built in book selves loaded with children's books. This room can be used as a bedroom or living space. All bedrooms are on the second floor. In addition to the master bath on the second floor there is a full-sized bathroom just off the hallway with double sinks and a separate toilet and shower room that can be closed off with a pocket door.
The first floor of our home has an open and airy floor plan: a gourmet kitchen opens into the living room which then opens to a lovely dinning room. From the kitchen you may walk right on to the blue stone terrace in the back yard. Also, on the first floor is a mudroom and half bath and a private office space.
Outside you will find a fully fenced backyard and a large blue stone terrace that backs up to conservation green space. Our home also has a wonderful front porch to cozy up with a good summer read or a morning cup of coffee!

Beautiful, well stocked, well documented, easy-in, easy-out. Stay included 9 family members attending a wedding. Liz & John communicated clearly and answered all questions. Would happily revisit.

My four friends and I were enchanted by this lovely home in a wonderful neighborhood. Instructions, house rules, etc., were very clear. The owners graciously accommodated our early check-in and provided an exhaustive list of resources, from restaurants to markets to beaches to attractions to visit. As the chef for the group, I was very impressed by the well-equipped kitchen, and could have set up housekeeping there. Bedrooms were spacious and beautifully appointed, and all the accoutrements were high-end. We enjoyed hiking on the abutting greenway and walking to the nearby farmer's market. Cape Elizabeth is a terrific location close to Portland and all its attractions but away from the bustle, and you have your choice of great beaches nearby. Can't say enough good things about this property and the owners -- best VRBO experience ever!

From start to finish regarding our mini vacation Liz was onboard and available 24/7!! Sincerely mean that….great response time to any questions which is important when you are the one responsible planning every detail. The house was beautiful and easily accommodated our group of five. Such an easy drive to Portland where we took a pottery class, shopped and had some wonderful dining experiences. I would love to come back to this house and experience it in the summer. Thank you Liz and John for sharing your lovely house!!!

We were all grateful for the comfort and ease Liz and John's home offered us over the long wknd. Especially appreciated the comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, convenient location to beaches and running trails, and the personal touches - feels like you're in a real home not a house purchased solely to rent to vacationers. Working with Liz in the lead up to our stay was a pleasure; super responsive and accommodating. Recommend if you're looking to gather with a big group.
