Destin offers endless dining, shopping, and activities. Many nearby restaurants are long-time local favorites. Silver Sands Premium Outlets is just seven miles east, while Destin Commons—an outdoor shopping center featuring dining, entertainment, and a movie theater—is only a short drive away. Fort Walton Beach offers a great fishing pier, and deep-sea fishing charters are located just up the street. Originally a fishing village, Destin still provides some of the best fishing on the Gulf Coast.

The Emerald Coast was recently voted the #1 Beach in America by USA Today readers and named the Best Beach in the South and Top Family Destination by Southern Living readers for the eighth consecutive year.

Beach Service: Pelican Beach partners with an outside vendor that provides umbrella and chair rentals for an additional fee. They occupy the first 3–4 rows on the beach—please visit their booth for pricing and availability.
