After a beautiful beach day on the ocean or being centrally located to explore the Pea Island wildlife sanctuary, Hatteras Lighthouse and accessing the Ocracoke Ferry, come home to Castaway Avon. This prominent semi-oceanfront home offers the best of both worlds, with second-tier oceanfront benefits including sweeping ocean views and striking South views. Combining comfort, location, and value, Castaway Avon is an excellent choice at a great price. Save a little money by not renting Oceanfront and instead consider this property just a bit further. Located in the desirable Ocean Isle Estates subdivision, this house is designed and situated to provide open space and privacy. The lot runs directly parallel to the Oceanfront homes with no road in between, the closest beach access is directly out the rear pool gate past 2 houses. PRIVATE POOL is open from May until Mid October (Pool dates can be extended upon request for a $500 fee)
Pool can be heated for an additional weekly fee of $500 (plus tax). Pool temperatures vary in degree of warmth and temperature cannot be guaranteed. Pool heaters typically heat the pool 10 degrees above ambient air temperature. Refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather or pool temperature.
1 Dog Max. (Approval required for additional dog). Pit Bulls and documented biters are not allowed.
Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bathmat for each shower or tub.

Everything was great. Yards and outside of home need a little maintenance and TLC but nothing that affected our stay or fun. House was great inside and location is awesome. Would definitely book again.

This house is the first one to have good beds and I have been coming here for the past 10 yrs. I marked them down a star only because there was sand in my bed. The bathrooms however were great. Usually the shower curtains are molding but these were in great shape. To say this house is equipped is an understatement. This house absolutely has anything at all you would ever need in the kitchen. The location is one house from the ocean and the views are fantastic. You can even see the ocean while working in the kitchen. That’s a win in my books. They responded quickly to any questions we had. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location in OBX! The house was wonderful and well suited for our needs. Pool and hot tub were very clean and we enjoyed them a lot. There are five stray cats that live in the shrubbery around the home. The yard and immediate property around the home is overgrown and really needs maintenance. We could not even find the outside grill. Other than those three issues it was a perfect week.
