Established in 2016, (formerly PAMS Getaways) Frenchy's Hideaways is a locally owned campground that provides guests the perfect environment to explore, rest & relax. We strive to provide great rates to allow you to get the most out of your Black Hills experience!
Located 2 miles south of Custer along US Hwy 385, we are at the heart of the southern Black Hills greatest attractions. Wind Cave National Park (18 miles) to the south, Custer State Park (9 miles) to the east, Jewel Cave National Monument (15 miles) to the west, along with Mt. Rushmore National Monument (23 miles) and Crazy Horse Memorial (9 miles) to our north!

This cabin provided a perfect base for our family of 4 as we explored the Black Hills. We were comfortable, and the kitchen had all the essentials to help us start and end our day with home meals. The hosts were also excellent.

Well supplied, clear communication, good central location. Surroundings not the best with trailer park in front and large fuel tanks behind that get filled in the night, but nice accommodations.

Cabin was perfect for what we were looking for- a great landing zone for hiking and exploring the area. Lots of towels, nice bathroom, and some bathroom amenities were provided which were very nice. Community grill & fire pit were right outside and amazing to have. Don’t forget to bring oil & spices if you plan on cooking. Loft is short so tall friends may not love ducking around in it, but nice to have extra beds & space.

The cabin was clean and really only a two person cabin at most. The incredibly steep staircase to the loft is sketchy, and the headroom in the loft dictates that a 9 year old or less sleeps up there.
The cabins are not nestled in the woods, but on an open piece of land next to an airport and in an industrial area just off the highway. It was a pricey cabin given there are so many other cabins on the way up the hillside to be rented. fyi
