Modern cottage with amazing views of Flathead Lake and the Rocky Mountains

We live in Montana and although we had driven through Lakeside/Somers several times, we had never stayed there. There are very few hotels/accommodations in the area, so for a wedding, everyone was scrambling to find a place. And did we luck out! This property is very well located for activities or events on the Western shore of Flathead Lake. The owners are terrific, and the brand new unit itself sits across the driveway/lane from their lovely home right on the lake, above their large garage. It is gorgeous, beautifully designed, quiet, perfect for a couple or, because there is a large pullout couch, a family of four. All the right touches. And the owners let us know we could use their dock. The home and apartment are off the main highway, but in a large group of homes with a secondary road for a morning walk. Otherwise, you must drive wherever you need to go.

This was one of our favorite stays we’ve ever had. We like to eat out and cook at home when we travel, and the hosts had everything we could have needed to cook at home. The home is super clean, it was perfect for the two of us. The views of the lake are unbelievable, even with the rain we had while we were there. It’s relaxing, hosts are accommodating, and it’s about an hour to glacier (the hosts even provide bear spray), forty minutes to Whitefish, and ten minutes to Kalispell. Try Bird and Billy in Kalispell for coffee! I liked how we were close enough to everything but also far enough away for it to feel out there. When we flew in, they didn’t have a car for our reservation and we didn’t get to the Vrbo until about 2am. The first impression we had was the beautiful lake view and the smell of home cooked cookies on the counter. It was a complete reset and our vacation was amazing. The hosts live in front and are so nice. We definitely plan to stay at this home again.

This home was beautiful!! Everything that you could think of was included with updated home. And if there is anything that you would have needed, it's nice to know that help is a few steps away. We had a very relaxing 2 day stay at this home. Thank you for being such a great host!!

Friendlt dog greeted us upn arrival. The grounds have beautiful flowers everywhere to brighten anyone's day. The view of Flathead Lake from the deck is great. There is a flight of stairs to get to the beautiful above garage apartment. This place has all new type appliances. Loved the decorations and the quilt with all local accents. Bed is comfortable. They have both a Kurig and a Mr. Coffe type machines for your preferred coffee, and a cute tea pot. White leather couches with a lake theme. Chairs are comfy on the deck. Lots of things to make your stay a great one.There is river rock access to the lake, so may want to bring shoes to go in the water. More chairs there, and beach towels in the pantry. Great place to swim and kayak.We ate in Somers at Dels one night and at the Tamarack in Lakeside the next. The pork ribs appetizer and homemade rootbeer at the Tamerack were awesome!Hosts are really nice and answers any questions you may have. We had a wonderful and relaxing time!
