Vineyard Cottages, or Zidanice, are small, charming houses built in the vineyards on picturesque hills in the Dolenjska and Bela Krajina regions. In the old days, the vineyard master used the Zidanica as a place to sleep when working in the vineyards, to store wine, and to entertain his closest friends. The Vineyard Cottage is located on the quiet and peaceful vineyard hill of Trška Gora, above Novo Mesto, the capital of the Dolenjska region. The cottage is surrounded by vineyards and other vineyard cottages and offers a magnificent view of the surrounding hills and the Krka river valley. Access is via a side road (asphalted).
