The house was great for our party of 5. Check in was easy and hosts were responsive to questions we had. The beach and dock were great and was an easy 8 minute drive to the nearest store/market so was helpful to have a car (or other form of transportation) to get to places outside of Maya Beach. Would stay again!

What a great place. Reminded us of Swiss Family Robinson.

We loved the sleeping options and the proximity to the beach, which was cleaned after a big storm. Would definitely stay again!!

Very old building. No air conditioning except for bedrooms, which was fine for sleeping but otherwise, we were quite miserable. No air movement in the house so very hot and muggy. Also, they list that they have a washer, so I brought very little clothes thinking I could wash and rewear, but nope. No washer. The caretakers are pleasant and response to questions or issues, (and I don’t know exactly what their roles are), however, they told us they would take our trash out daily and rake the beach daily and that didn’t happen. Not to mention that you need to throw your used toilet paper in the trash, not the toilet, and little bugs were coming to the trash in the kitchen. And, lots of seaweed would wash up on shore and it stunk. Would also have liked them to sweep the stairs to the decks as well as the decks, on a daily basis, due to sand tracking. There was a small foot bath at the bottom of the stairs, but that wasn’t changed for up to 3 days and it was full of sand and seaweed. Not exactly able to clean our feet in it prior to walking on the decks or in the house. I would NOT recommend this establishment.
