If you’re looking for a house with history, look no further! Located downtown in the heart of Savannah’s Historical District, this charming Savannah vacation rental comfortably accommodates up to four people and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1820 by John Ballon, a free man of color, the history of Freeman’s Cottage is detailed in the book "Savannah’s Little Crooked Houses: If These Walls Could Talk," by Susan B Johnson and published by the History Press, 2007.
Located downtown in the heart of Savannah’s Historical District, this charming Savannah vacation rental comfortably accommodates up to four people and features on-premise parking and a secluded garden patio. The beautiful wood used in the living area makes the space warm and inviting. Open to the kitchen, you’ll never miss a beat of the conversation. Enjoy a home cooked meal or leftovers from one of Savannah’s many fine dining establishments in the sunroom, where you’ll enjoy a view of the secluded garden patio. There is a $130 pet fee (non-refundable) with a 35 lb. maximum weight limit per dog and a limit of 2 dogs per reservation. Some homes may allow larger dogs, please inquire for more information.

Loved staying in this quaint cottage. I didn’t even know it was historic! Loved how close it is to everything! Never had to move our car. Highly recommend.

Excellent location, we were able to walk to everything. The cottage was very clean and the back private patio was perfect for our 2 dogs. It does have steps to the upstairs bedroom that had nice lighting after dark. Very cute place.

Loved it! Very cute quiet cottage. Lovely area. If you don’t want to walk downstairs at night to the bathroom might not be for you. Or if you want to cook and entertain the kitchen is small. Very cute little garden area fully enclosed. I would definitely recommend and come back for sure!

This cottage was adorable and in a great location downtown. However, it wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been. All flat surfaces were dusty/dirty. AC vents were mildewed. They did send maintenance to clean vents.
