This was our second stay at this property and we enjoyed it as much as the first time. Even though it was blazing hot out in the open our seats on the covered, completely shaded back porch facing the river was completely lovely with a gentle breeze all day long. The kitchen was more than adequate for all of our cooking needs. The bed was extremely comfortable. The a/c was plenty cool. We're an older couple so the TV setup wasn't the best for us as we don't have any of those streaming services..... The access to the river was challenging but we knew that going into the rental and weren't interested in doing any water activities anyway. My husband did venture down the stairs a couple of times but I wasn't up to that challenge. I might have tried had there been a hand rail but there is not one. For birders, we were a bit disappointed in the low number of birds coming to our feeder but that, of course, is not the fault of the property owners...we still enjoyed using the Merlin app.... We would certainly rent again.

There was olive oil and salt and pepper (along with many other spices) available. The ice maker was not working in the freezer. Great quality and options for pots, pans, dishes and knifes. Bathrooms are a bit small but manageable. Nicely decorated. There is a sofa bed. The river access is great and the water is about 5 feet deep. A little fox would come visit in the evening. We would rent again.

My husband and I truly enjoyed the quietness and privacy. The house was immaculate. We felt right at home. I love visiting Wimberly and hope to go back soon.

Was a nice place, just had a few concerns. One being the back porch flooring pulling away from the main support. The house could have been a little cleaner. Also, please know that you are getting to the river easily.
