Buses:In addition to the metro, Sol is also well connected by an extensive bus network. Numerous bus lines pass through the area, offering a convenient alternative for getting around and reaching specific destinations in the city.
Cercanías Renfe (commuter trains):If you need to travel outside Madrid, Sol station is part of Renfe’s commuter rail network.
Taxis and ride-sharing:As is common in Madrid, taxis are easily available in the Sol area. In addition, ride-sharing services such as Uber and Cabify operate in the city and can be a convenient option if you prefer a private ride.

We enjoyed a fabulous week here in the Centre of Madrid. This was a perfect location for everything - restaurants, bars, coffee shops, fast food and convenience stores all just a few minutes from the front door.The apartment was perfect. We dined out for every meal but the facilities were more than adequate to stay home and cook too.Having a washing machine made life so much easier - we were able to travel light and only needed carry on luggage.Check-in and check-out routines were very straightforward, the electronic locks on the exterior doors and the apartment functioned perfectly. The apartment was very clean and well appointed and quiet.Communication with the hosts was done initially via the Vrbo app then through a WhatsApp account - the hosts responded quickly to every question we had and recommendations for sites of local interest were excellent.The greatest recommendation we can make is that we plan to return to Madrid next year and want to stay here again.

The apartment is exactly as presented online. The access information was available at the exact time we mentioned for our arrival. Therefore I suggest to indicate as arrival time 3 PM, the starting of the check-in time otherwise one will have not an idea how to get in; there's no keys only codes and procedures requiring internet. We stayed 10 days but we didn't kook per se, only breakfast and light supper. There is a washer & dry machine which is very useful although it took some time to find out how is functioning. The apartment is suitable for two persons. The gray blanket in the bedroom would need a deep cleaning or better a replacement. The strong point is the location, everything is at walking distance. Madrid is a vibrant city, people are outside until late night socializing and enjoying life. Overall we are satisfied with our stay here.
