Located at the gateway to the "Golden Triangle" of the Dordogne Valley between Sarlat and Bergerac, Maison Lascaux welcomes you for an authentic holiday in the heart of nature. You will stay in a charming independent villa which, before its renovation a few years ago, was the former tobacco drying shed of the magnificent Domaine "Perrot en Périgord" built in 1730. The hamlet consists of three stone houses of character, totally independent with their equipped terraces and private gardens, as well as the main building. The size of the grounds allows all our guests to enjoy their holiday in the middle of a large landscaped park and by our large swimming pool.
The large living room of Maison Lascaux has a 5.6 metre high "cathedral" ceiling. It is distinguished by its old beams left in appearance, its stone floor and its large bay window of 3*3 meters which offers you an unobstructed view on your private garden and the surrounding valleys. The kitchen is fully equipped for 6 people (fan oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, hob, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, plenty of crockery, ...). Each of the large and bright rooms is decorated in an original way. To guarantee maximum comfort during your holiday, Maison Lascaux has two bathrooms, a washing machine and a dryer.
Maison Lascaux offers you a high standard holiday in absolute peace and quiet and in an exceptional environment: it is surrounded by 40 hectares of fields, forests and small woods. Access to the estate is via a private road 500 metres long; we are therefore far from the "outside world", from other people's cars and even from our closest neighbours. There are many footpaths leading directly from the Domaine. On your walks you will probably come across pheasants, partridges, deer and rabbits.
Our place has not one, not two or three, but billions of stars! Without the pollution of the cities, we enjoy an incredible sky. We are sure that you will be as amazed as we are by this spectacle of Mother Nature which appears as soon as the sky is clear. What's more, our sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking!
The town of Lalinde with its supermarket, convenience stores and small local market is only 9 kilometres away. Most of the region's tourist attractions are within a 30 km radius of the Domaine.
Our property is set in 1.5 hectares of parkland with ancient trees, flowers in all seasons and a large swimming pool nestled in the ruins of an old barn. The pool is south facing, fenced and secure. The children will find their happiness in the small house filled with toys adjacent to the pool area. The park has many places to relax and leisure activities (deckchairs, hammocks, parasols, table tennis, badminton, petanque,...). Books and board games are available for everyone.

We are a middle-aged couple seeking a gentler rhythm; an escape from the restless pulse of the city. We could not have chosen more wisely.Just half an hour from Bergerac the car sat nav led us unerringly to the door, as though it knew we needed to be there. And what awaited was something special; a personalised welcome, a beautiful barn, lovingly and thoughtfully transformed, where the past lingers softly in every beam, yet modern comfort is at hand.The kitchen, well appointed, invited us to linger and create our own meals, an important pleasure for us, Beyond the building, the grounds stretch wide and generous, offering pockets of solitude where one can sit with a book, or simply listen to the natural sounds of the countryside.And then the nights; how can I describe them? Coming from a sky dulled by city lights, we had forgotten what darkness can reveal. There, above us, the heavens spilled over with stars, more than we imagined existed. A quiet, glittering spectacle that felt like a gift.The pool, set within a courtyard embraced by stone walls, strikes the perfect balance between sun and shade. Vines and fruit trees encircle it, lending a sense of nostalgia, as though time itself had slowed and softened. A place that soothes and charms in equal measure. The barn, facing east and west offers sunrise to the early riser and sunsets that glow warmly over evening meals al fresco, the perfect companion for foie gras and local wine. Its simply wonderful. Warm welcome by hosts. Spacious area indoors and out. Appreciated the convenience of daily bread/pastry delivery. Pool area lovely, a very peaceful setting. Instructions were very thorough.

Fantastic converted barn on a beautiful property. Hosts were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. The kids loved the goats, chickens and rabbits. Beautiful tranquil getaway. Could not recommend highly enough.
