The house has two floors.
On the ground floor there is a large outdoor terrace, overlooking the sea. Ideal for watching the sunset or having barbecues and drinks. Inside there is a large living room, with a 68' curved UHD TV, a large dining table for 8, and an integrated open kitchen. Also on the ground floor there is a bedroom with two twin beds that can be combined to form a king bed, plus a full bathroom.
On the first floor there are three en suite bedrooms with king size beds and all of them with spectacular views of the sea.
Guest access
Guests can access the house directly by boat, by taking one of the multiple motorboats found in the Chiquila Marina. They can carry up to eight passengers with moderate luggage. The boats can drop you off on the beach directly in front of the house. It is a beautiful 15 min boat ride.
You can also take the ferry boat from Chiquila to Holbox. They run every 30 minutes. It is a 20 minuted ride. They usually run from 8 am to 8 pm. Once in the Holbox Marina there are many taxis that can take you to the house. An 8 min ride.
Your last option is via small plane. It is a 20 min flight from Cancun. They usually carry up to three passengers.
The neighborhood
Casa Gonza is located on the western part of the island. The more residential area. It is a 25 min walk down the beach to downtown or a 5 min ride by golf cart.
Getting around
If you want to go into town you can rent a golf cart or bicycles during your stay, or use taxis. Below are the of some of the Golf Cart rental companies.

This is a beautiful home and a beautiful location. Sylvia was very helpful in getting us everything we needed to be comfortable.

House was great! Very relaxing and off the beaten path. Beach front was lovely.Recommend getting a golf cart to travel to town.There are some restaurants down the beach that are easy to walk to, but for the local experience there are some great restaurants downtown.

Very good stay but a few things to consider. Water pressure in showers is low. No railing on back deck with a 8 foot drop. Be careful if you consider bringing small kids or folks with mobility challenges. Hot water at kitchen sink low pressure and hot water heater seems nearly broken. Other than that Sylvia was a great cook, helpful, and this is a place I would consider coming back if some improvements were made.

Host was welcoming and very helpful in days leading up to our stay. Very kind. Overall, the house had some challenges including ants…everywhere. We couldn’t leave any food out without ants attacking. Also ants in the rooms. Construction was happening at the house next to us so that resulted in early morning noise. Also a lot of foot traffic walking across the property.
