Learn about the history and geography of the Istrian Peninsula (visit Cape Kamenjak—a nature reserve, Brijuni National Park, Hum—the smallest town in the world, etc.), and sample the local culinary specialties (Istrian prosciutto, truffles, olive oil, wild asparagus, fuzi, gnocchi, Istrian sausage, various types of grappa such as Medenica and Biska, as well as the famous homemade wines Malvazija and Teran). Attend various concerts in the ancient amphitheater in Pula, and visit the museums and art galleries in Poreč and Rovinj. If you’d like to spend an active vacation, go scuba diving in the depths of the Adriatic Sea, ride a bike along the beach, or hike on one of the many trails.
