This property is set in Gretna Green, a town famous for runaway marriages. It is a 2 minute walk from the train station, close to hotels/restaurants and a 5 minute walk from the blacksmiths shop.
The property itself is best suited for a large family or 2 families sharing. It has a large kitchen dining room with access to the large garden via bifold doors where there is rattan furniture, BBQ, in ground trampoline and hot tub. There is a snug area off the kitchen and a cosy living room with a wood burner. Underfloor heating is throughout the ground floor. The 2 main bathrooms are very spacious with one having a walk in shower and the other having a shower and a bath with a TV.
4 bedrooms (2 have en-suites). All bedrooms, snug and living room have SMART TV's with netflix. Sky and Sky Sports in living room TV.
High chairs, stair gates, travel cot, baby bath, fire guard in property.

The property is stunning and finished to a very high standard. It has everything you need for a break away and the owner has thought of everything. This was our second visit to this property and is one of the best we have stayed at. The host, Tracey is lovely and very friendly. The garden and hot tub are great, it's very private. We were lucky to have great weather so we spent most of the time outside. We travelled as a group of eight and we all had a fantastic weekend. Thanks again Tracey

Ancrum House is delightful and it was the perfect choice for our stay. Tracey was an exceptional host and gave us great recommendations for restaurants & bars locally and in Carlisle. Her attention to detail throughout the house made relaxation easy. We will definitely make Ancrum house our annual meeting place!Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would ever need and more the whole house was beautiful and sparkling clean from top to bottom we stayed 3 nights and had a great time hot tub excellent we will definitely be returning highly recommend.
