Completely remodeled and thoughtfully upgraded, North View Lodge is a spacious mountain retreat near downtown Banner Elk, North Carolina, designed for large families and groups. With four bedrooms, six distinct sleeping areas, 5.5 custom bathrooms, and accommodations for up to 19 guests, this luxury mountain lodge offers plenty of room to gather, relax, and enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. From the private movie theater and game room to the dedicated wellness area, chef's kitchen, and expansive outdoor living spaces, North View Lodge combines beautiful mountain views, high-end finishes, and an impressive collection of amenities. Located just minutes from downtown Banner Elk, the home sits between Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain Ski Resorts, with each approximately ten miles away. Grandfather Mountain is also about ten miles from the property, while Boone, Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis, Hawksnest, Linville Falls, and many of the High Country's most popular attractions are within easy reach.
Living Spaces & Chef's Kitchen
Inside, the fully remodeled interior features new beds and furnishings, updated lighting and plumbing fixtures, custom finishes, and high-end appliances throughout. Three king suites each offer a private custom bathroom, while the home's 5.5 designer bathrooms feature details including imported Italian marble, locally inspired natural stone, and luxury rain-head showers.
The main-level Cow King Suite is mobility friendly, with shower and toilet features designed to better accommodate guests with mobility challenges.
The custom chef's kitchen is designed for preparing meals for the whole group, featuring KitchenAid appliances and gas downdraft cooking. A dedicated coffee and cocoa bar makes mornings easy, while the separate cocktail wet bar, lounge, and relaxation area provides another comfortable place to gather.
Entertainment & Game Room
There's no shortage of entertainment at North View Lodge! The private movie theater features an 89-inch screen, custom sound system, and popcorn machine for movie nights with family and friends.
The spacious game room offers a pool table, arcade games, and a 75-inch TV, giving guests of all ages plenty to enjoy without leaving the lodge.
Private Wellness Area
After a day exploring the mountains or skiing at Sugar Mountain or Beech Mountain, return home to your own dedicated wellness area.
Enjoy the 8-person sauna, unwind in the hot tub and relaxation room, or prepare a refreshing drink at the wet smoothie bar, complete with a refrigerator. It's a wonderful space to relax after a full day in the High Country.

North View Lodge accommodates up to 19 guests, making it an excellent choice for family reunions, group vacations, and mountain getaways with friends.
Parking & Access
The property features a large, flat parking area with space for up to six vehicles. An EV charging outlet is also available for guests who bring their own compatible charger.
Parking Note: There is a maximum of six (6) vehicles permitted at this home.
Winter Access: A steep paved road leads to the first portion of the driveway. Although this section is plowed during winter, 4WD or AWD vehicles are necessary from November through April due to potential winter weather. Chains may also be necessary during snowy or icy conditions.
The final approximately 200 yards consist of a gravel driveway that cannot be cleared of snow or ice. Once at the home, the driveway and parking area are flat.

We stayed at the Vacation Lodge with Mountain Character (also known as North View Lodge). Our family of 16 stayed at the cabin, and we found there was plenty of space for everyone. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, playing pool, the big-screen TVs, two living rooms, and taking in the beautiful scenery. During our stay, we spent one day skiing at Sugar Mountain and another day snow tubing, which everyone loved.On a particularly cold day—when temperatures dropped to nine degrees, and there was snow on the ground—we returned from skiing and discovered there was no hot water when everyone was ready to shower. We appreciate that someone was sent out the following morning to resolve the issue.That same day, a van carrying several family members took nearly two hours to make it up the snow-packed hill to the cabin, even with chains on the tires. Four-wheel drive and chains are suggested during winter. Be sure to bring a few essentials, including potholders, trash bags, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, dishwashing soap, a sponge, and kitchen towels. We also found there wasn’t enough silverware for our group’s size, and had to purchase plastic utensils. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the rustic charm of the cabin and our time in the Banner Elk, NC area.

We had 3 families, 10 people staying for 6 nights in our party. We could have easily had 4-6 more to stay without being crowded. We really enjoyed all of the spaces, the hot tub, the pool table, the movie room and the other common rooms were well used. The second kitchen came in very handy as some of the children have allergies and this accommodated them. We were able to separate as families for privacy but still stay together. If there were needs, the manager was fast and efficient to get help for us. Banner Elk itself was enjoyable and close to many places we saw---Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain and Blowing Rock. But there were all kinds of places that aren't as well known about along the roads.

We so enjoyed our stay! There was plenty of room for families to have their space while still utilizing the comfortable group lounging areas and prepping food to enjoy for a crowd. Ample sleeping areas for multiple families or friend couples. The amenities are top notch - very roomy jacuzzi tub and nicely appointed shower and sauna area. The parking is roomy and well laid out. The mud room is perfect for coming in from a day of skiing to take of boots, snow jackets, and bibs. Plenty of storage and hanging space for outerwear!
