Welcome to Ocean Bluff Sea Ranch Abalone Bay, a stunning architectural gem and perfect retreat for your next coastal getaway. This single-story classic Sea Ranch home was recently remodeled by famed architect Obie Bowman, blending unique design with modern comfort.
Step inside to panoramic whitewater ocean views through large picture windows that flood the open-plan, sunken living space with natural light. Vaulted, wood-beamed ceilings crown the main area, which flows into the gourmet kitchen. Through an architecturally designed sliding door, step down into the Game Room, a space for board and card games, TV watching, and quiet work when needed. A portable computer table is on hand, along with a window bench seat perfect for reading and a sofa sleeper (available as an add-on amenity).
Two other areas provide added fun and relaxation. The fully enclosed garden courtyard with a hot tub, BBQ, dining, and seating spaces offers privacy as well as ocean views. The ping pong table, stored in the garage, provides great fun for the entire group.

* 3 Community Recreation Centers that offer pools, saunas, tennis courts, and pickleball courts.
* 2 playgrounds.
* Pétanque court.
HOUSE RULES:
Guests are expected to follow the house, HOA rules, and Sonoma County ordinances:
* The primary guest must be at least 25 years of age and be present for the entire stay.
* Guests are required to sign our more in-depth legal rental agreement within 24 hours of booking. Failing that, the owner reserves the right to cancel the booking for failure to follow house rules.
* General occupancy is 6 persons, including children (3years and older). A sofa sleeper is available as an add-on for $200, allowing up to 8 total guests.
* No house parties, events, or third-party bookings (including Airbnb Experiences).
* No smoking or vaping is permitted anywhere on the property.
* Quiet hours are from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
* A maximum of two dogs is welcome. A pet fee of $80 for one dog or $160 for two will be added. Please pick up after your pets to avoid a $100 fine.
* Light restrictions at night require shades drawn and outside lights turned off when not in use.
* A ban on drones- leave them at home.

Once you have booked, you will be asked to agree to our rental agreement, complete a point-of-contact form, and upload a copy of your government ID. If you do not agree with our Ts & Cs, you can cancel your booking.

* Ocean Bluff Safety: The property is located on an ocean bluff with an unfenced 30-foot drop to the rocks below. Please supervise children at all times and never turn your back on the ocean due to dangerous sneaker waves.
* Our home is surrounded by a beautiful, thriving natural ecosystem, which means you will likely encounter local wildlife and insects during your stay.
* Security: Exterior security cameras monitor the driveway and entryways only. No cameras are in the private courtyard or interior spaces.
* Safety Features: Fire extinguishers are located in the kitchen, garage, and BBQ areas. CO monitors, fire alarms, and first aid kits are also provided.
* Hot Tub: The hot tub is professionally maintained, chemically balanced, and serviced after each guest for your safety.
* Construction Activity: New home construction next door is expected to be completed by September 2026.
* No Air Conditioning: The home does not have air conditioning. Ventilation fans supplement natural sea breezes to keep the house cool.
* Septic System: The house operates on a septic system. Please flush only toilet paper.
* Generator: A full-house generator ensures power during outages, though it does not heat the hot tub.

We had a lovely return visit to Donna and Jorge's beautiful home. The house is perfectly set up for our family of 4: each kid loves having their own bedroom, and the boys especially loved the game room with all of the games and DVDs. The kitchen is very well stocked with all of the supplies and gear you could possibly need. The views from the house are absolutely incredible, and our family loved greeting the seals perched below each morning.
Highlights from our stay included soaks in the hot tub, countless family walks on the bluff trails, exploring the Hot Spot Loop/San Andreas Fault Interpretive Loop, breakfast at Trinks in Gualala, lunch at the Lodge, grilling dinner on the deck, watching tons of World Cup games in the spacious and comfortable living room, and magical visits to Pebble Beach, Ohlson Beach, And Black Point Beach.
This year, our boys also attended a week of Sea Ranch Kids Camp at the Links. They enjoyed their time there, especially the bounce house, art projects, and kayaking trip on the Gualala River.

Our two-month stay at Abalone Bay in Sea Ranch was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment Jordan and I arrived, we were blown away by the incredible ocean views and the cozy, thoughtful amenities that made the house feel instantly like home.
What truly set this experience apart, however, was our host, Donna. She is by far the most attentive and accommodating host I’ve ever experienced. She truly thought of absolutely everything, anticipating our needs before we even realized we had them. Her dedication to ensuring our comfort made our extended stay incredibly relaxing and seamless.
If you are looking for a peaceful, beautifully appointed retreat on the coast, look no further. We cannot recommend Abalone Bay and Donna's unmatched hospitality highly enough!

Spent 6 beautiful sunny days at Sea Ranch Abalone Bay. Daily temperatures ranged from 62 to 70 degrees with moderate winds. All of which is unusual for March. Spectacular weather for our dog, Bear, to take us on walks on the bluff just outside the house.
Watched whales spouting while sitting in the living room enjoying a glass of Convene Pinot Noir.
This week, Abalone Bay offered a quiet kind of magic.
