Experience ideal lakeside life at the Downtown Lakefront Retreat—located directly in front of Lake Coeur d'Alene with Coeur d’Alene City Park and Fort Sherman Playground right across the street. In the highly sought-after Fort Grounds neighborhood, you'll be just steps from the beach, the park, and you’ll be within easy walking distance to miles of public beaches and the heart of downtown Coeur d’Alene. This home is truly in a dream location!
The home itself is just as alluring as the prime location. You’ll enjoy plenty of style and space in this two-lever rancher. Upon entering through the front door, you'll find an open living and dining area with comfortable seating, a fireplace, Smart TV, and views of both the park and the beach. The wooden dining table seats six beside a beautiful wall of built-in cabinets and a granite-top buffet. Continue down the tiled hall to find a large, open kitchen with granite countertops, high-end appliances, a wet bar, and a breakfast table with additional seating for four. Here you'll find access to the side patio with lounge chairs and outdoor dining for four with an umbrella for shade.
Around the corner, the master bedroom awaits with a king bed, desk and storage space, extra seating, and views of the lake. An ensuite bathroom boasts granite counters with a double sink, a large tiled shower, and a walk-in closet. You'll find a half bath across the hall.
Across from the kitchen, a den awaits with cozy seating, a desk space, and a full bath. Continue down the hall to find the back patio through the glass sliding door, where outdoor dining for six awaits beside a beautiful, vase water feature fountain. The location was excellent. It served its purpose for us. Location location location! It’s a very tired property, but it smells like going back to your grandmas house. It could use an upgrade in the bathrooms. But so much space available for big groups. If the landscape was cared for and kept trimmed up, it would be absolutely beautiful. So much potential with is house.

The location on lake CDA, walking distance to the shops and restaurants of downtown CDA was perfect for our stay. Beautiful views of the lake and a large park with children’s play area across the street. Home was clean and well appointed. Host responded to our 1 question promptly, check in and out was smooth. 5 star stay.

This home is in a fabulous location with views through the windows to the lake on one side and the park and lake on another. It’s an easy walk to the hotel, marina, park and downtown. It’s spacious enough for a large group, but we had 3 couples and our goal when booking was for each couple to have their own bathroom. Because of the odd layout with one bedroom and 2 1/2 baths upstairs versus 3 bedrooms and 1 small bath downstairs, this created an awkward situation for one couple to have to go back and forth up and down the stairs. We did not pick up on this detail in the listing. It would be helpful to see floor plans for both floors in the gallery. We were able to do this on other homes which made it much clearer. The home was clean and kitchen well equipped and updated. The rest of the house could use some updating though. The property managers were very responsive. We had a tv problem and they had someone come by very quickly to fix it.

This is our third stay in the past 10 years at this property. The location is ideal. The size of the property is great for our group of 6 adults and one infant. The downsides are the furnishings. There is a queen size bed that has such a deep trench that the two members of our party that we’re staying in that room left to stay in hotel. They didn’t want to spend another night of discomfort and poor sleep. The two king size beds are also in poor condition. The living room furniture is in poor condition. Cushions are worn and upholstery is heavily stained. The dishwasher is also not secured to the counter. Without evidence of upgrades, we won’t be returning for a fourth stay.
