Über diese chalet dieses Ferienunterkunft
Gather with family and friends for sunsets on Big Chetac, starry nights by the firepit, and cozy mornings with coffee on the deck.
Welcome to your private lake home retreat on Big Chetac Lake — where autumn sunsets glow over the water and crisp Northwoods air makes every moment feel restorative.
Nestled near the end of a quiet road with only trees and water around you, this lakefront home offers rare privacy, panoramic views, and space to gather in every season.
The property spans 1.76 acres with 82 feet of lake frontage, looking out toward a scenic island that makes sunsets unforgettable. In fall, the tree-lined yard bursts into brilliant color — the perfect backdrop for evenings around the firepit, grilling, or cozying up with a blanket on the deck overlooking the lake.
Inside, the home features over 2,800 sq ft designed for connection and ease: a large dining table for sharing meals, a breakfast bar for casual mornings, and a spacious lower-level walkout that’s ideal for game nights, lounging, or warming up by the fireplace after a day outdoors.
Whether you’re here for fishing, riding the trails, leaf-peeping, or simply slowing down, this Big Lake Chetac retreat gives you the best of Northwoods living — privacy, beauty, and the kind of moments that last long after you leave.

The lake house was beautiful and had plenty of room. It was missing things for the fishermen. It did not have an area for cleaning fish and that’s the main goal for our vacation in Birchwood. We had to put the fish guts in a shed and with the heat, well you can imagine the stench. Also, the house does not have central air or air conditioners.

Beautiful and spacious home with all needed amenities. The furniture and beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. It’s nestled in the woods on the lake. Beautiful! I would love to return.

What a great, relaxing, place! We loved our morning coffee on the deck while overlooking the lake. Then watching the sunset by the bonfire pit. The stars were amazing! We sat out on blankets watching the dark sky. We enjoyed exploring the 2 lakes, and watching the wildlife.

The house was bigger than we expected and the back yard was ample! We spent a lot of time out on the water, the dock and around the firepit. Wood was provided which we didn't expect, so we brought our own. The grill was great...propane was included, the kitchen was well-stocked with nearly everything you'd need, including small appliances. We appreciated the 2 kayaks and paddles that were available. We had read the reviews in advance and brought our own portable A/C units and they kept the house around 74, which was good since we had nearly 90 outdoor temps! The sunsets were amazing and lots of wildlife to see!
