Welcome to Fannie’s Cottage, a charming, family-friendly 2-bedroom retreat designed for comfort, connection, and relaxation in the heart of Black Mountain.
Perfect for families, couples, small groups, or individual stays, this thoughtfully renovated single-level home offers the ideal blend of cozy indoor living and inviting outdoor spaces. Pets are welcome and will enjoy a fully fenced backyard.
The space
Inside, you’ll find a spacious fully equipped chef’s kitchen, a warm and comfortable living room with fireplace and 50" smart TV, and two inviting bedrooms with plush, restful beds. A dedicated workspace is also available for those who may need to check in while away.
Step outside to enjoy one of the home’s standout features, a private backyard with mountain views, complete with a grill, fire pit, and outdoor dining area. The spacious front porch with rocking chairs is perfect for morning coffee or winding down for a peaceful respite.

There is a Ring video doorbell located at the front door and a Ring video motion light at the rear of the home. These will NEVER be active during your stay. They are only active when the cottage does not have a guest booked. There are absolutely NO cameras in the house. Your complete privacy is among our top priorities.

We have rented for many years. Homes, cabins, etc. This cottage was outstanding. We were perfectly happy with the stay. Very clean. Everything seemed to be new. Privacy fence around the entire backyard, which was great for us as well as the dog. Near enough to downtown but approx. 3/4 mile or more to walk. All level walking area, but the heat can take its toll. There is plenty of parking in town, so if walking is an issue I suggest the short drive. The owners of the cottage were available at all times. I can not think of a thing that was not available in this rental. I only wish the back patio had an overhang or awning, so if it did rain sitting outside would still be an option. We plan on returning in the fall. Very relaxing, enjoyable four nights. Thank you Whitney and Daniel for access to your beautiful cottage.

Super clean and well organized. Pet friendly and my dog really enjoyed the fenced in back yard. It’s a quiet neighborhood and I felt very safe. Excellent communication and response from host. Loved everything about Fannie’s Cottage and would highly recommend. I was very comfortable.

Excellent property and location for both Asheville and Biltmore Mansion. Home was very accommodating, immaculately kept. Our two toy poodles loved the back fenced yard Really enjoyed visting the town of Black Mountain. Everyone was extremely friendly and very talented artist. Thank you for being so attentive during our stay. We will definitely be returning.
