Surrounded by forest and reservoirs, Arnsberg and the Arnsberg Forest offer plenty of space for cycling (Ruhr Valley cycle path) and hiking. Recreation is not neglected here. There is something for everyone in the nearby and wider area. Be it the Fort Fun leisure park or the Eckenhagen bird park. Or you can visit the stalactite cave in Warstein, the zoo in Hamm or simply the nearby lakes (Möhnesee, Sorpesee, Hennesee, Biggesee). A mining museum is not far away and those who want to can climb the viewing towers near Warstein or the Möhne. If you want to stay in the town, visit the Sauerland Museum or wander through the Thiergarten with its many sights.
