DIRECT OCEANFRONT ON MAUI'S SUGAR BEACH
Wake to the sound of the Pacific just beyond your private lanai at our beautifully renovated one-bedroom condo at Sugar Beach Resort. This is true oceanfront living - miles of sandy beach just outside, sweeping water, sunset and whale views, central A/C, a California King bed, a fully equipped kitchen, high-speed Wifi, remote working desk space, in-unit washer/dryer, and everything you need for a comfortable Maui stay.
Morning coffee and evening sunsets are even better when you're spotting humpback whales directly from our lanai during Maui's winter whale season. From January through March, we see whales offshore almost every day. We provide binoculars, although once you learn to recognize the distinctive puff of a whale's blow, you'll often spot them with the naked eye.
THE CONDO
Our third-floor oceanfront condo has been completely redesigned with modern furnishings, new flooring and lighting, central air conditioning, and comfortable spaces for relaxing after a day on Maui.
The bedroom features a comfortable California King bed, quality pillows and its own remote working desk, track lighting and high-speed 170+ mbs Wi-Fi connection. The living area includes a 55-inch Smart TV and Sonos sound system, with the ocean just beyond the lanai.
The fully equipped kitchen is designed for guests who actually enjoy cooking, with a granite slab countertop, a glass cooktop, stainless-steel appliances, cookware, air fryer, toaster oven, griddle, kitchen essentials and spices - plus an ocean view while you prepare meals.
You'll also have the convenience of an in-unit washer and dryer.
BEACH DAYS MADE EASY
Sugar Beach is right outside the resort. Walk for miles along the shoreline, swim, snorkel, boogie-board, sunbathe or simply find a quiet stretch of sand.

This was our first time staying at Sugar Beach Resort. This resort was recommended to us by a friend. Probably won't come back to this unit for the following reasons: 1) was unaware and didn't like the bathroom / bedroom situation; no door (curtain), 2) furniture was uncomfortable, 3) despite loving the view of beach / water, the water wasn't clear, 4) this area had too much wind for my liking. As for communication with property manager, I would have liked some prior (and exit) communication on the unit. Though, property manager was active during the stay.

Loved the location. Nice snd quiet. Loved sitting on the lanai and eating our meals there. Amazing sunsets every night from our lanai. Would definitely stay here again.

Check in process was easy and simple, the location is also fantastic. No problems with anything in that department. What we were disappointed in:
1. Was the amount of expired, old food & medication in the kitchen/vanity. I was shocked to see peoples prescription drugs left. There is a big difference between leaving some condiments and salt or coffee vs leaving old jam, expired prescriptions, literally (and I counted) 14 sunscreen tubes, etc. The overall cleanliness of the unit was good.
2. The washer/dryer is about 25 years old and needs replaced. Super sad to see a $1.2M condo and the owner not spend a few thousand bucks for a decent place to wash your clothes.
3. The mattress was really sad and hard, and the sheets could have been cleaner. Which I believe is a result of the washing machine being a joke.
4. The kitchen remodel they did looks and is great. However, the entire condo needs a paint job. All the walls and scuffed and dirty looking. The pictures are deceiving. Its these small things that really matter, and do not cost a lot. The bedroom closet is stacked to the ceiling with things that the guest should not be seeing. The disorganization of it is also sad.
I expect to stay in a place that is at minimum as clean as any mediocre hotel.
