Relax and enjoy the wonderful view of Lake Ontario! Enjoy the sunsets in the evening and toasty bonfires right on the lake.
Local attractions include Niagara Falls (60 minutes away), Brown's Berry Patch, Darien Lake Theme Park, Seneca Niagara Casino, The Niagara Wine Trail and Golden Hill State Park - with it's famous lighthouse.
The cottage is homely, built in the 1950-60s by a previous owner in their spare time using many spare materials from their work (not the Ritz).
There is no air conditioning, we rely on fans and a cool breeze from the lake to keep cool.
The cottage's rural location allows you to take long bike rides and stop at local farm stands for freshly grown produce. Amish markets are plentiful for deli meats and bakery items. Restaurants and quaint shopping can be found within 20-30 miles of the cottage.
Swimmers can access Lake Ontario via a rocky beach, but there are no lifeguards, and rocks may be slippery.

We had a wonderful time, the host was very helpful and friendly. The view of the Lake was beautiful and the many visits to the Golden State Park and Marina were enjoyed by myself and the dogs. We also visited the Yates Town Park which was just down the road a short drive. My husband and son went fishing and came back to a warm and cozy cottage! We loved it!!!

Good House to enjoy the weekend, too far to Niagara Falls state park, but the house is very good, good breathing for a good day and safe for barbecue
