We’ve made the house cozy for you, because we want you to be able to unplug from everyday life here.

Behrensdorf is a little-known gem, as our village—with a population of about 640—is located right on the Baltic Sea, in the middle of a nature reserve featuring the Kleiner and Großer Binnensee lakes.
Here, you can bike for kilometers along the beach, away from the road, and enjoy nature to the fullest.
And best of all, the town isn’t overcrowded—it invites you to linger and relax. Behrensdorf is therefore not suitable for party trips.

The natural beach, which is free of tourist tax, is just 1.5 km away.


The region:

Behrensdorf is located in the northernmost part of Holstein Switzerland, between Schönberg i.H. and Hohwacht.

Our landmark is the lighthouse in Behrensdorf-Neuland, where, by the way, you can also get married.
There’s also the Waterneverstorf Estate (2 km), whose castle is idyllically situated on the Großer Binnensee.

The Panker Estate (approx. 7 km), with its world-famous Trakehner horse breeding program, castle, chapel, and picturesque art shops, is another destination well worth a visit. It also features a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Furthermore, the Hessenstein (approx. 7.3 km) is a great way to get a sense of the region. The view from the Hessenstein is impressive. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Denmark.
The nearest town is Lütjenburg (approx. 7 km).
This charming little town offers not only a variety of shopping options but also great sights, such as the Bismarck Tower, the Turmhügelburg, and the Ice Age Museum.


The accommodation:

Our lovingly furnished house is located on the outskirts of Behrensdorf and can accommodate up to five adults and one toddler (travel crib).
The house features a guest restroom as well as a very spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower and a Finnish sauna.

There are 3 bedrooms. They are arranged as follows: A master bedroom with a double bed. Adjacent to it is a bedroom with two single beds and two very large closets where you can truly store everything. Adjacent to the hallway is a small bedroom with a single bed.

From the hallway, you’ll enter the light-filled, open-concept living/dining/kitchen area. A cozy couch invites you to relax in front of the wood-burning stove. The living room features a 55-inch UHD TV with an internet connection. Wi-Fi is available.
From the master bedroom and the living room, you can step out onto the partially covered terrace with a view of the fields. Garden furniture and an extra-cozy beach chair await you. A charcoal grill is available for leisurely barbecue evenings. The entire property is fenced in, so your kids can’t wander off the property unsupervised.

All windows and patio doors are equipped with high-quality insect screens.


Special features:

You can charge your electric car with ease in the on-site carport.
Use of the wallbox and the sauna is billed separately. Currently, the rate for this is 0.33 €/kWh. All other electricity usage is, of course, included in the rent.

There is a lockable shed next to the carport where you can securely store your bicycles.

An additional parking space is available.


Tip:

If you don’t want to bring a bike, you can rent a bike, e-bike, child trailer, etc., at Fahrradhaus Scheibel in Lütjenburg. They also offer a delivery service.
