The first time I came to this house, I sat by the river with a glass of wine and a book in hand. The mountain breeze swept over the water, and for the first time in a long time, I felt completely at peace. It wasn’t just a getaway, it felt like coming home.
Since then, we’ve poured love and care into every inch of this place, and now we’re opening it up to share that same feeling with you. Whether you’re here for quiet mornings, cozy nights, or just a reset from the noise of everyday life, we hope you’ll find the same sense of calm and connection that we did.

Welcome to your newly renovated, modern riverfront retreat - designed for families, groups, and couples seeking adventure, comfort, and connection. This spacious one-level home features 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and sits on 1.65 acres with private access to the Kanawha River. Whether you’re planning a cozy weekend by the fire pit or a full itinerary of hikes and waterfalls, this home is the perfect base.

BASEMENT ACCESS: The basement is not part of the guest space and will remain off-limits during your stay, as it is used for owner storage.

Our home is nestled in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood in Deepwater, West Virginia. You’ll be surrounded by nature, with the Kanawha River in your backyard and some of the state’s most stunning natural landmarks just a short drive away.

✔ Kanawha Falls (10 min): A picturesque spot perfect for photos, picnics, and nature walks.
✔ Cathedral Falls (18 min): One of West Virginia’s most iconic waterfalls, don’t miss it!

✔ Gauley Bridge & Hawks Nest State Park (15 - 25 min): Great for scenic overlooks and family hikes.

The place was as advertised and did not disappoint.

The host was very responsive and the house was clean. When we pulled up the grass was really tall and the neighboring homes were not kept up. The beds were comfortable but the furniture in the family rooms were extremely uncomfortable. Water pressure was amazing and showers were nicely updated. Exterior of the home was disappointing, a lot of punch out items that need to be addressed. The train ran every 2 hours or less and you could definitely hear it inside the house around the clock. The backyard ambience once the yard was cut was super cool and we enjoyed it. There really isn’t anything to do nearby. We drove a minimum of 45 minutes anytime we wanted to hit good restaurants and area attractions.

Beautiful home; diamond in the rough. Everything as described. Maybe more plates needed, only 7 and there were 8 of us, and baking dishes was all that we felt lacking. Huge yard on the river, and we enjoyed the firepit!

We absolutely loved this house! From the moment we walked in, it was clear that someone put real care and style into renovating it — it’s modern, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It fit our group of six adults and one toddler perfectly. Plenty of space to spread out and relax. The kitchen was great, the beds were comfy, the showers amazing, and everything was sparkling clean. As for location — sure, it’s not exactly next door to the national or state parks, but let’s be real: this is West Virginia. The roads are windy, the GPS is confused half the time, and nothing feels “right around the corner”… but that’s kind of the charm, right? Just toss on some music, enjoy the scenic mountain views, and consider each trip part of the adventure. In short: we’d absolutely come back. This place was the perfect home base to return each night after a day of exploring — cozy, beautiful, and full of good vibes (and enough room to keep everyone sane). Highly recommend!
