Enjoy the peacefulness of El Cortez on Mustang Island, just three miles south of Port Aransas. This two-bedroom ground-floor condo is nestled within the tropical landscape and offers all of the amenities of home. The open living room is made up of a loveseat, sofa, armchair, TV, and a sliding glass door to the back patio. The full kitchen is equipped with all the things needed to prepare a meal with Corian countertops, crisp white cabinets and stainless steel appliances, a regular drip coffee maker, dishes, basic pots, pans, and utensils. Sit down for meals at the dining table with seating for four and two additional stools at the breakfast bar. The master bedroom (BR1) contains a King bed, a chest for your beach attire, a closet, and a wall-mounted TV. The ensuite bathroom holds a vanity, tub/shower unit, and a stackable washer/dryer for your use during your stay. This room also has private access to the side patio. The guest bedroom (BR2) is made up of a Twin over Twin bunk bed, an additional Full bed, a couch, a dresser, and a TV. The ensuite bathroom consists of a vanity and a tub/ shower. Take in the ocean breeze while sitting out on the covered patio with your morning coffee or cold beverage. This complex offers a new golf cart-accessible boardwalk to the beach. After a day of fun at the beach, cool off in the shared pool, just steps away, or grill up snacks and dinner on the shared grills. El Cortez is just five minutes from Port Aransas offering a variety of restaurants, shops, nightlife, and fishing charters.

We mostly enjoyed the property - it is walking distance to the beach, and it is right beside the Cinnamon Shore complex. It is well maintained and well equipped - lots of towels, soap, blankets, etc. The pool was also nice to have right outside our room. The only thing is I wish I had known that the property had had pets in it, because I am allergic to pet dander - We sat down on the couch to watch TV, and when I got up my pants and sweater were covered in pet dander. I was wondering why my eyes were itchy and I had been sneezing a lot. I just wish the description said that this was a pet-friendly apartment. Otherwise, the place was great. I wish we could stay there again, but because of the pet dander situation, we won't be staying here again in the future.

Very clean, comfortable unit. It had everything that we wanted. The AC was fine but the tower fan in the master bedroom was a bonus! Will be rebooking soon.

Tidy, well-appointed condo just right for a family of 4! We very much enjoyed our stay; everything was as advertised. Additional pluses are the convenient beach and pool access and responsive property management.

Unfortunately we would not stay there again. Arrived at 5:15pm and the condo was still being cleaned and wasn’t ready until almost 6:00pm. The furniture needs to be cleaned at the very minimum but honestly replaced as you can feel springs when you sit on the couch. The kids bed smelled like fish so I had to strip and wash the bedding, bathrooms are very small, toilet was dirty, shower pressure is minimal and the shower curtain liners, shower heads need to be replaced. The pool is right outside this unit but it’s dated and was dirty. The tennis/basketball court is no longer there. It’s an empty lot used for golf cart parking which was disappointing for my kids as they wanted to play pickle ball. Only plus is the proximity to the beach but you still need to rent a golf cart as it’s a pretty long walk. We will go back to Port A but find another place to stay.
