Casa Amaltea is a unique and charming sun filled apartment, surrounded by windows, tastefully decorated in Venetian style.
Conveniently located in central Venice (San Polo area), yet a very quite area with and direct access to the water on Rio San Polo. The apartment is steps away from the famous Basilica dei Frari, the famous Aman Hotel and a few minutes walk to the Rialto bridge and various tourist sites. The real magic of this apartment is its proximity to supermarket (one block away) and excellent restaurants where locals go to dine. Its a 10 minute walk from the train station as well and San Marco Square.

From start to finish our experience with this stay was 5 stars. Luigi acted as both our host and concierge and provided so many helpful contacts that made the trip a breeze. I appreciated the rapid responses to my questions and help with logistics that can make Venice difficult from the get go. The apartment was exactly as advertised. It was beautiful, well taken care of and very clean. Details like adequate pillows, pristine sheets and comfortable mattresses matter very much to us and this apartment had them in spades. The linens and towels were luxurious and new. The kitchen had everything we needed for a morning coffee and the location is perfect. We walked everywhere and the private water taxi was able to drop us off and pick us up right in front of the apartment. There was no hauling luggage through the streets of Venice. I couldn’t be more pleased with this entire experience. I can’t recommend this apartment enough!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, artful, and historic apartment. The property is well maintained, thoughtfully supplied, clean, and exactly as described. It was comfortable, welcoming, and had everything we needed. The location is excellent—close to the major sites while still being peaceful and quiet.Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. Check-in and check-out were easy and straightforward. We did encounter one small hiccup when we arrived because the cleaning person had gotten sick, so the apartment wasn't ready at our scheduled check-in time. This was clearly beyond the host's control, and they handled the situation quickly and professionally, getting the apartment in perfect condition within an hour of our arrival.Other than that minor delay, everything went smoothly. We truly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the host's responsiveness and care. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a comfortable, charming, and well-located place to stay.
