Set on an Acre by Fitch Mountain Park and Open Space Preserve, Hilltop Vista Villa offers a quiet private setting, spectacular views of world class vineyards, private access to hiking trails and proximity to the Russian River beach.
This inviting single level retreat has an open floor plan with lots of sunshine. The open kitchen features stainless steel appliances, custom cabinetry, and a granite topped island. The Master Suite includes a custom soaking tub.
As Villa the only house in Preserve, it gives you your private access to the hiking trail and quietness all around.
The house offers a contemporary open-floor design, high ceilings --13ft--and plenty of natural light. It includes a kitchen, dining area, living room, 2 bedrooms, and a backyard.
The full kitchen includes granite counters, premium cabinets and modern appliances: range, oven, microwave, dishwasher and full refrigerator/freezer and filtered water. There's plenty of counter prep space and some wine racks. There's a bar-top/dining table with four stools.
The living room features a fireplace. There's also a selection of books. This open space is ideal for working, entertaining and relaxation.
The master bedroom presents a luxurious king bed with very comfortable, high quality, medium-firm mattress. it offers a dresser and a full length mirror. The second bedroom has a king bed with a medium/plush firmness mattress. Also, there is a desk, a dresser, and a closet with plenty of shelving. Both beds have soft and luxurious fitted 300-thread count Brooklinen's Egyptian cotton sheets.
There are extra towels, pillows and blankets as well.
For your convenience, there is a laundry room, and plenty off-street parking on our driveway.
Our fenced-in backyard offers an outdoor sitting. The back yard is ideal for barbecuing and for just hanging out.

I would have given this property 5 stars, but a few things really needed attention or more detail in the listing. There is no closet to use in the Primary Suite. We stayed for a week and brought nice clothes to go to the great restaurants there in Healdsburg, BUT - there was no place to hang them at all! You can see that there is a closet, but it is locked off, which is fine, but there should be some place in a Primary Suite to hang clothes! We traveled with a friend who used the second bedroom, which has a tiny closet - but only 3 hangers, so we couldn't try to hang up dresses or nice shirts, because she also needed to hang things. The property is nice and quiet, we enjoyed the cool nights and days in the 70's. But the front porch is very hard to get to, and the furniture was unusable. Also, our flight was delayed, and we didn't arrive at the property until 2 am - there were no lights on anywhere - and with so many steps up to the property, it was dangerous with no lighting. I know there are lights, but they are on a timer. May I suggest keeping one light to stay on longer, so it isn't so difficult with luggage in the dark? A few more pillows would be nice too - the ones there were flat when you put your head on them. I don't want to be nitpicky, but we travel a lot, and I own a VRBO property, and I appreciate being able to stay there, but I would not go to that property again for the reasons above. I gave it 4 stars becasue it is a beautiful home, not comfortabe

Greta clean private property with separate large bedrooms and a nice back patio space. Perfect for two couples or small group. The host was communicative and available and the property was well stocked. Check in/out was easy. Nice hike with a view directly behind the house too which was a nice bonus.

We had 2 couples that stayed in the beautiful 2-bedroom mountain villa on Fitch Mtn. Communication with host was great and the property, which sits at the top of the mountain road was just as described. It is well appointed, secluded and very clean. The trail to the summit next to the house, which is not an easy hike, was used daily. The road up to the house is a small road, but we had a Nissan Rogue and had no problems navigating the road with the parked cars on the way up. Once you hit the property, there are private gates and drive which makes parking very easy, but you do have to do a 3-point turn to turnaround. When visiting wine country we try to stay on Fitch Mountain because of the views and proximity to downtown Healdsburg, so this property will be one that we will certainly use again.
