The beautiful Mill House Cottage nestles in the grounds of The Mill House (circa 1853), on the banks of the Coal River and beside the famous Richmond Bridge (1823). This wonderfully restored private cottage is fully self contained with all modern conveniences - all linen supplied and provisions for a light breakfast. Guest parking is secure and off street. A short stroll across Richmond Bridge finds you in the heart of charming Richmond Village - a must see for visitors to Tasmania. A 20 minute drive to Hobart and 15 minutes to Hobart International Airport, the Coal River Valley has many attractions including wineries, farms, whiskey distilleries, antiques and delicious eateries. Guests are free to wander the beautiful gardens.

The property was perfect, very clean & in a great position for exploring Richmond Town.Parking is very easy & we simply left the car there & walked.We had a great view of historic Richmond Bridge & the river & really enjoyed exploring the grounds of the Old Mill & Richmond itself with all it's quirky cafes & shops.IGA in the centre of town is the answer to all your grocery needs.Rob & Sue, our hosts, were absolutely wonderful, the provisions they supplied &, especially, the daily loaf of bread, were extremely generous & went above & beyond our expectations. If I had to score the property & hosts I would give them a 15/10.We highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a place here.
